Anyone here use any good video editing software?  Preferrably something really good, and really cheap?  I've been using Windows Movie Maker, which isn't bad for my typical needs...but I'd like to have something that was a little more robust.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I use Pinnacle for whenever I make home movies, which is often. It is easy to use, has a lot of nice features and is under $100. Another nice benefit, is the manufacturer is constantly patching and creating new features, which are all provided free from their website. I have used some other to include Roxio Media Creator, and wasn't impressed.

Best Buy has it for $100.

on the real cheap end Pinnacle and Adobe Premier elements are a good choice.  Both can be found for $100 and have enough features for just about any normal editing.  You can try both for free before you buy which is a good idea.

People pay for software nowadays?  :P
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Well, I was hoping to avoid that...but the options seem limited.

have fun ladies.  if you don't know jack shtein about computers dont bother.. its not a limewire or anything.   it takes a little bit to get used to it but you can get anything you want there.. progz, movies (bootlegged) or regular, games, music, anything.. they probably have some tutorial sights if you google it.

The closest thing I've ever done to video editing is hitting the pause button on the vcr when commercials come on.

You don't count fast forwarding through the clothed parts of certain movies?

I don't call that editing.  I call that a quickie.

Vegas video is a bit more expensive but you can really do a proffessional job with it.

That's what I use. Didn't pay for it obviously.

It's okay...but it's certainly not the most secure thing in the world.
