Another random stat: According to the New York Times (I haven't verified this myself, because I'm a lazy bastich who doesn't care enough to do it,) the Giant's haven't been shut out at home in the playoffs since 1943. Damn. That's gotta hurt.

This was Bill Cowher's first road playoff win of his career. Kinda surprising for the longest tenured coach in the NFL.

They're the first and only team to do it since the NFL implemented the wildcard round.

They're also one of two teams that have ever been shutout twice at home in the playoffs. The Rams being the other.

The AFC divisional playoff game Sunday at the RCA Dome is a rematch of the Steelers' 26-7 Monday night loss on Nov. 28, but Porter was unimpressed by the Colts' play in that game.

"They don't want to just sit there, line up and play football," Porter told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "They want to try to catch you off guard. They don't want to play smash-mouth football, they want to trick you. ... They want to catch you substituting. Know what I mean? They don't want to just call a play, get up there and run a play. They want to make you think. They want it to be a thinking game instead of a football game."

I love it. A dumb football player trying to degrade a team that tries to play intelligent football to give itself an advantage. All athletes should have their tracheae removed upon signing their first contract so that no one ever has to listen to their idiotic thoughts.
