I'm being harassed. Any tips on what I could do to catch these guys?

dude it obviously is someone in your building.  go door to door asking if they know anything about this.  and don't stand their like a pansy.  act really pissed and really crazy, and say the police know about it and are finger printing the letter and are checking into it.  no one is going to admit, but maybe someone will act kinda strange.  then go to your landlord and tell him your situation.  if hes not going to help you out, then contact police.  either way you can prob narrow it down to 3 maybe 4 people.  beat all their asses, ya might get your guy, ya never know until ya start beating asses.  holler

The funny thing about the first letter is they spelled thanks as "thnx" which makes me think it's a girl or if not a girl definitely a kid. No 40 year old will spell thanks that way, and I don't know of many guys that do.

When they purposely went out of their way to say it wasn't the landlord and they double underlined wasn't. It makes me think they want me to stay away from the landlord at all costs, so again it makes me think it's someone in the building. My friend that I room with talked to the cops but they said there isn't really anything they could do. Even though my bike was stolen, there is no proof the people who stole it wrote those letters.

It seems the only thing I can do is a stakeout. I wouldn't have even cared if it was just letters, but that bike was expensive. I'm pretty angry and I would to meet these people face to face. I'll probably just stay alert, but if I come home and our place is busted into then I'm going to stakeout for a week if I have to.

ILast friday I went outside to take my bike to work and the chains were clipped and the bike was stolen. It was next to like 5 other bikes so I found it funny why only mine was taken.

Anyone have any ideas in what I should do?

Besides the notifying the police notify the postal service..messing with mailboxes can get someone into deep trouble and the postal service has it's own investigators   Cops work on the bike issue....postal service on the letter issues

I'm beginning to wonder if my friend has any enemies. I don't really have any, at least not any that know where I live or could find out that easily. Also other than my friend who I live with, only 2 other people know what my bike looks like. Which is another reason that makes me believe it's someone in the building. The part that angers me most if I believe they live right there in that same building, but yet I can't do anything about it until I find out for sure who it is. Knocking door to door will only let them know that I'm on to them. I want them to keep doing this stuff so I can eventually get them, because I want my bike back. If my bike was destroyed or stripped and I found out who did it I am taking something back of equal value from them.
