In reading the recap of the Eagles-Giants game, I noticed that the kickoffs from Akers and Feely ranged from 50 to 70 yards, obviously because they had the advantage of a tee.  I know it is a hard motion but could a holder for a field goal put the football on his foot as opposed to the ground?  I did a quick search of the NFL rulebook and didn't see anything but it must be illegal since no one does it.

and is it legal to put the football on your dong?
sure, it's high risk/high reward but maybe they could talk somebody into it....i mean, for a game winning kick.
lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

if i'm the kicker, or holder for that matter i wouldn't want something that wasn't going to move in an area that i'm kicking.  could you imagine kicking a wall as hard as you could, sure the foot isn't that hard, but i imagine the results would be similar.

And the holder wouldn't enjoy it much.

I can't find a reference, but I'm guessing that the tee rules govern any elevation of the ball from the ground.  The closest I could find was this reference to the NCAA rule in Wikipedia:
QuoteAlso in the NCAA the kicking tee was disallowed in 1988 and college kickers had to kick from the ground.
The question is, is this rule language, or the interpretation of the author?
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

The tee adds hight to the ball and the running approach allows the kicker to get more power generated into the ball for longer distance (and additional ball hight also allows the ball to fly longer)....sacrificing accuracy ;)

Can I nominate this for post of the year? I think if he had quoted the original post it would get a few votes.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?
