I dont know if this as been done before...but let this be the nerdiest thing I have ever done here. Let's break it down to three categories:

"Eagles"
To have been posted originally in the Eagles Talk forum.

"Sports in General"
To have been posted in any other sports thread in any forum besides the Eagles talk thread.

"General"
I dont think i need to explain this, but basically any thread us idiots started (like this one) that have nothing to do with sports.

Instant nominations
I will do a search for the words "Post of the Year" those are instantly nominated.

Other Nominations
Find a post, nominate it, it's simple. after there are enough nominations, I'll put together another polling thread.

QuoteEarlier Friday, a House committee subpoenaed the brain-damaged woman to appear before Congress next week, and Schiavo's family was "hopeful" the brain-damaged woman would make that appearance in Washington, an attorney for her parents said Friday.

I'm sure her "testimony" will be riveting. ::)

It would go a little something like this ...

If the IQ level here matches that of the Eagles, I'm not worried at all :-D

To that, sir, I only have one thing to say.

QuoteSome tree huggers try and tell ya that spiders are good, they eat bugs, don't kill em. Farg that. Nothing sucks more than walking into a web you didn't see and freakin out imagining the little critter is on ya somewhere. My common test for bugs, fish, pets, etc, is simple. If they were as big as you are, would they eat you? Spiders would wrap you up and slowly suck the blood from your veins, leading you to a painful, slow, and semi concious end. You must kill it. (BTW, most all dogs pass this test, cats on the other hand do not.)

The sucker you saw in the bedroom is probably not alone. He or she has comer inside to provide a stable environ for hatching eggs, which may number in the hundreds. Right now her appetite is ravenous, and she is probably overly protective and agressive. If she has not tucked her youngins in the far corners of your sheets already, you are lucky. At night she will most likely be drawn to the moist warmth of your breath escaping. Don't be suprised if you open your eyes to find her hovering over you from the ceiling. Just keep your mouth shut while sleeping and you'll be fine.

The posts by Sun Mo, IGY, and Dio are the best by far.  The "Grouphug" thread should probably be nominated.

Father Demon

I like the Sun Mo post a bunch.  Laughed out loud when I read it.

I aslo think IGY's quote should be a lock, because it was the most logical thing he's ever said on this board.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

PoopyfaceMcGee

The Jessica Alba appreciation thread, and, of course, this gem should be up for TotY.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

hbionic

Avatar of the year as well.

There are plenty of good ones....but I always liked QB Eagles Tecmo Bowl avatar (before he changed it).

QB Eagles.....my nomination.

:-D

I missed that.

We need to have a couple votes each for these upcoming polls.  It will make the voting much more interesting if everyone can pick two or three to support.

I don't see anything in this thread that prohibits people from nominating themselves.  Much less anything about the landlord being restricted from doing anything at all.  Raw egalitarianism has it's drawbacks, afterall.
