We have the highest paid coaching staff in the NFL, I think.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Our coaching has been friggin miserable this year. Nuke the sidelines!
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

So when Andy calls a play that results in a touchdown, that play call sucks?

Is that what you guys are saying?

Please tell me you're not defending AR's play calling. Seriously. It's awful and has been for a while. He has no rhythm, no pace to the game. He doesn't set up plays for later in the game with similar plays early in the game. He doesn't make adjustments. He needs to hand things over.

I'm not defending anything or anyone.  My question still stands.  When Andy calls a play that results in a touchdown, does that play suck?

I'll wait patiently for your answer...

They've been consistently miserable all around. Someone was not specific enough when they asked the football gods for consistency this year.

I want to keep Andy around because I think he drafts excellent.  I never question his decisions on draft day anymore because it seems like for the most part he knows what he's doing.  But someone needs to take the playcalling abilities away from him.  I guess that's kind of hard to do to the head coach though.

phillywin2k5

Andys short coming has been that in 6 years he hasnt been able to develop a #1 WR from the draft!! His drafts minus one year have been crap on the offensive side, and have more Street Free Agents on the team then DPs since 99, not good.
OH AND FIRE DAVE CULLEY BY FAR WORST WR COACH IN THE LEAGUE!!

if you take advice from people in the 700 level, you'll find yourself sitting next to them -- Buddy Ryan

Are you asking me if the ONE TD play that he called yesterday sucked? (The second was an improv by #5.) No THAT PLAY didn't suck. His playcalling still sucks ass.

That's like asking 'did the car chase in Ronin suck? No? Well then the movie must have kicked ass!' Just because one tiny piece of something is good or works out doesn't mean that the whole thing isn't a steaming pile of shtein.

I know you're tryng to goad me, but come on. This line of quesstioning is farging imbecilic. "Oh yeah, well that one play that worked didn't suck therefore Adny is teh awesome." Idiotic.

AND SIGN PHIL SIMMS TO COACH!  WE'D BE THE BESTEST TEAM EVER!

First, "Ronin" was a great movie, so please shut your cockhole about that.

Second, my point was and remains... Andy does a good job of play-calling when the Eagles players execute those plays properly and convert them into points.

Is the guy the second-coming of Bill Walsh?  No.  Obviously not.  But to suggest that he be relieved of play-calling duties based on this season after he's had unparalleled success (in terms of the Eagles franchise, that is) doing it his way for the past seven season, well, that's just plain idiotic in my way of thinking.

meatcicleface, Ronin is a good movie.

Was that really an improv by McNabb? It looked like a designed play to me.

phattymatty

My opinions on Andy Reid's playcalling have not changed because of last night's game.   His ability to run a gameplan has always sucked a huge a-hole, the eagles have just always had the athletes to make a zesty system work.  And now that McNabb is injured in 12 places, he can't do that.

Ah, I never realized what word zesty was a filter for.  Now I know it's zesty.

SunMo

i think Andy is pretty good at putting together a gameplan during the week.  and if the game goes according to plan, he has a good pace and rythem to his calls.  but, when the defense does things he wasn't expecting, he is stopped in his tracks.  the calls come in late, the plays have no flow.  he isn't able to make the key in-game adjustments that are necessary.

some may call that stubborness.   doesn't it make you all scratch your head that it took him 9 weeks to realize that he has to run the football?  and it actually worked, look at that.  weird how everyone other than reid has been saying that all season.
