McNabb....1 year left!

Regarding his complete maturity it seems.

We've all seen Dunvun grow since he got here. From worm burners, to over throws, to scrambling, to staying in the pocket and improving his numbers. I think we've all been comfortable regardless of all the bitching that McNabb has come a long way as far as his development is concerned.

We got to the superbowl within a 6 year period of him being here. Not bad. But last night it dawned on me that there is still one more part of his game that he needs to shore up. That is his patience and reliance on his plays/playbook.

Too many times this season, we've seen Donovan make a quick decision and after the play was over the camera shows how the running back out of the back field had no defender near him for 10-20 yards and 'if only McNabb would have looked right/left/upfield...he could have had an easy score. I believe this is what led to the interception last night.

Now, I know this has been happening for a while...I remember sometimes fred-ex would be open alot and missed. I think all of our receivers have had this at one point or another...even the QB's out there on other teams have gone through this. But I believe its this quick decision making, which he has to have, is also keeping him from completely seeing the field. I know the pocket will only stay up for a matter of seconds...but it seems if he gave himself that extra .5 or extra second, he might be able to manage to see that open receiver.

I'm comfortable that he's matured in many ways. I think this may be that final hurdle to make him that complete weapon. Regardless of what many of you think or feel, I think Donovan is almost 'there' as the top QB, farg the numbers.

Hopefully after surgery and some review of game tape, he'll realize the same thing.

I'd like to see him call his own plays.  He's a big boy now....he can do it....

Rome

I'd like to see him audible just once without the defense seemingly knowing the play call better than he does.

ice grillin you

he is what he is a good qb who lack some crucial personality traits that are necessary to win big games...perhaps another coach could bring those traits out of him...or perhaps hes doesnt have them in him at all...and if thats the case he needs to go

but first things first...andy gotta go gotta go

I'd be happy with Andy leaving.  I've never been a fan of his play calling and this season takes the cake.

I was dropping a turd in anger this morning, wishing the toilet was Andy's head.

Rome

Yeah, you guys are right.

Bring back Rich Kotite, Joe Kuharich, Ray Rhodes, Mike McCormick etc.

Those days were the bestest.

If Andy would give play-calling duties over to someone else I would be appeased. He has a lot of value to this team, but his play-calling is absolutely awful.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

So when Andy calls a play that results in a touchdown, that play call sucks?

Is that what you guys are saying?

:-D

As much as I blame Andy for last night's farg up, to suggest he gets fired is ridiculous. 75-42 is the best coaching record in franchise history. I think he's earned a mulligan season.

Please tell me you're not defending AR's play calling. Seriously. It's awful and has been for a while. He has no rhythm, no pace to the game. He doesn't set up plays for later in the game with similar plays early in the game. He doesn't make adjustments. He needs to hand things over.

I agree.

Why exactly do we have on offensive coordinator anyway?
