Absolutely. From what I've read, the Bears felt Bryan Johnson and Jason McKie (remember him?) were better blockers, Johnson is back from injury, and McKie plays special teams while Edwards doesn't, so they didn't want to keep 3 FBs...

I asked about it and the response was, "Jason McKie is better than Edwards? What does that say about Edwards?". I tried to explain that Edwards has worked in the WCO, has a Super Bowl ring with New England and is better used in a passing system than a north-south power running game, but it doesn't sound like anything's happening there. Ah well...go MURP...
