I've read Jarhead but haven't seen the movie.  Like most movies though, I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD.

I saw Doom.  IMO, it was terrible acting and a terrible movie altogether.  I walked out near the end because i couldn't stand it any more.  The Rock was horrible and the supporting cast sucked.  Don't waste your money.

Saw Jarhead yesterday. Pretty good. Pretty funny at times, but you find yourself laughing at things that in reality aren't funny at all. Nothing really happens in the movie, it is more of a character study of a guy who serves during the 1991 Gulf War. Worth seeing ... especially cause everything else out right now sucks.

Agreed.  I also saw the movie last night and kept thinking "someone would have had to been in the military to get a lot of this".  All in all a good flick, better than most of the garbage Hollywood produces these days.

Saw a decent movie last night.  Don't know if it was posted before or not. 

High Tension  It's a french movie dubbed in English.  After the first scene, you forget about the dubbing.  It's a freaky ass movie and definitely worth renting.  It's about a psycho killer on the loose.  If you liked Hide and Seek or Sixth Sense, you'd like this.

Kingdom of Heaven-  great fights scenes with special effects.  everything else sucked hard.
