1. This season is not over. 4-4 in a bad NFC is nothing to start packing it in over.

2. The commitment to the run was good. It wasn't working, but you've got to keep going at it. It will work if they stay committed to it. I think they had a 35/26 pass/run ratio tonight.

3. Reggie Brown, Greg Lewis and Billy McMullen looked pretty good, wouldn't you agree?

4. Not having L.J Smith in there for the last quarter and a half was bad.

5. The forced fumble by Dawk on Cooley not being recovered was huge.

6. The muffed punt by Thrash not being recovered was huge.

7. The BAD CALL on Lewis' non-catch was bad. Greg got that ball. If they get it right they have the ball on the 3 yard line and it is a TD and not a FG.

8. McNabb looked healthy as ever so far this season...

That dropped slant by Gordon was huge IMO.  There was at least 10 yard YAC oppurtunity.  Err...what happened at the end of that drive anyway?

I'm still baffled why Runyan let his man go and doubled another guy that was seemily already under control on the last play.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

there's some good things to take out of the game.. well there's usually good things to take out of every game.  it looks like we do actually have a TEAM.  im glad TO is not playing even if it did mean a loss.  reggie brown impressed.  westy's running still leaves alot to be desired.  obviously he's not just going to cruise right into it halfway through the season but he's gota realize minimal gain is better then losing 2-5 yards streaking along the line of scrimmage.  this seasons over IMO.  who cares if they make the playoffs.. i just don't think they are going to win the superbowl this year.. which was obviously the goal all along.

9.  Neither of the starting corners can cover.

10.  No one on the defense can tackle.

11.  The Sunday Night crew sucks.

12.  Poor offensive execution at the end of the 1st half, again.

13.  Poor offensive execution/playcalling on the final 4 downs.

14.  The Sunday Night crew sucks.

Injuries:

1. LJ Smith has a concussion
2. ND Kalu re-injured his shoulder

A few other thoughts...

- The end of the first half play was stupid.

- Trent Cole looks good at times. He got worn down a little bit because there was only 3 DEs after Kalu got hurt. Darwin Walker got quite a bit of time at DE.

- Jevon Kearse got a sack and had a few nice stuffs in the run game. They played a lot of heavy packages tonight, but not just on his side. Gibbs loves h-Backs and TEs.

- 3rd down conversions, one of the biggest things I look at, were not good on offense. And the defense couldn't stop the taterskins from converting.

All's I'm going to say is that I ain't buying into the "Oh my the season is over" tripe. It's not. They could run off a nice streak. They've done it before.

But I know the sky will be falling among fans but look at the big picture. This shtein ain't done.

The season isn't done in terms of playoff hopes and possibly a division title.  However, any hopes of a Super Bowl this team had are gone.  So in that sense, the season is over.  :P

MDS

1. andy and jj have become stale and predictable in their playcalling. try something else you old bitches.

2. tom white tickles gibbs balls and gives him the calls. flamer.

3. i cant believe we lost to washington. farg.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

14.  The Sunday Night crew sucks.

Hah, they mistook Jevon for Simoneau.  They said that Lito letting the punt go resulted in a 20 yard bounce (when it was 10), when he wasn't in position to catch a weak punt 5 yards in front of him.

Anyone else notice how bad Mahe sucks in KR blocking?  He had one good block tonight, but the last two games I've been watching him, he 'qb blocks' the guy.  He'll run up to a guy and hope the play is over by the time he gets there and ends up jogging half-ass blocking the guy.  He did get rewarded for his lazy blocking (since he was jogging and not engaged at this point - as usual) by making the tackle on that long KR but Washington.  Granted he'll probably never get released or not make this team bc of his hands, but good god, we can have a better lead blocker on KR.

Parry sucks.  Gets toasted when he tries to hold up a blitzer or oncoming LB.  Postive, he did catch balls tonight.

I don't know...

I'm usually pissed off after losses. But tonight i am not pissed. Disappointed, yes. But I'm not pissed off. It farging sucks to lose to the taterskins, but I will maintain my stance that this season is not over by any means.

General_Failure

Reminded me a lot of the pre-three-headed-monster Eagles. Still good enough to get to the playoffs but just can't finish every game.

The man. The myth. The legend.

^ Not receiving a happy ending sucks!

Next up, Big Tuna and the hated Cowturds, who have 15 days of rest to get ready. Hmmmm .... I say we could ummmmm, say soften the hard line on the TO apology by then. Call him into the office, and maybe just ask him if he is sorry and wants to apologize to the whole team, just sit there and say nothing ... but say it real quite so he can't hear it.

It's almost unbearable to go thru this, but luckily years of preparation have gone into teaching us how to respond to this ..... Fire Reid, bench McNabb, get Moss ...... BUMS! Ah, I feel better now. I just hope they draft a WR named Owens next year and give him the #81, so I don't have to hang that jersey next to the Lindros jersey in the garage.

Come on guys, get this together. I never expected a loss tonight.

Big picture ... Its been awhile since I believed without a doubt that an Eagles team was destined to win the Superbowl. Not just have a chance, but was going to win one. We've had a great run with this group, and I'm not ready to give up, but geeesh, they did almost everything they could to get there last year, and it seems they've taken a step in the opposite direction, with an arrogant authority this year. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt too considering their track record, but its getting hard to keep looking at this situation without being critical.
The NFL old standard.

So...hopefully McNabb gets that surgery this week or next.

What draft pick will we get?  Top 10?

Do we take a WR?

Too bad we couldn't get a top 5 pick.

When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.
