Good god what i'd give for just one more stop, drop & roll!  As well as LJ has tried to perfect it can't beat the real thing.

I would love to see the Linc go nuts over that. Sadly, I think it's only us that love it so much.

anyone remember how ineffective duce was the year he came back from the same thing?

I wouldn't say he was ineffective.  He had over 1200 total yards in either 12 or 13 games (I remember he missed a couple games with a shoulder injury).  Regardless, he still averaged nearly 100 yards per game and that was while sharing the backfield with Buck.

And I don't think anyone here would even expect Lewis to come in and be a consistantly productive player, but someone who can come in on 3rd and short or goal line situations.  Basically, I think he would be the new Jeff Thomason.  I mean, he would basically be replacing Spach on the TE depth chart right?  Well how much do you see Spach getting the ball thrown his way?  So if they use Chad sparingly then I think he can make a big difference in a limited role.

Agreed, Duce was far from "ineffective" when he came back from his injury.

. Not like he could do wrse than Parry. That's impossible.

Evidently, Andy thinks Ritchie is worse.

Or more prone to miss games due to his knee injury.

Why hasn't anyone else picked him up?

LOL. He'd be playing football if he could. The Bengals brought him in...remember?

i don't think Parry is going anywhere.  I heard R Diddy on WIP a couple weeks ago talking about why the Eagles kept Parry over Ritchie.  Ritchie's age, injury, and salary were all factors that led to them keeping Parry.  However, he also said that the Eagles really like Parry because he is young and also they feel he's picked up the fullback position fairly well for playing linebacker his whole career.  He also said that they think he can improve.  So, I don't think he's going anywhere.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

could have heard me say all this before ritchie was even cut when i predicted his demise for many of these very reasons...add in the fact that reid loves to pat himself on the back by having as many UFA on the team and it was pretty clear parry was gonna be the guy...this in fact reminds me that i never received a well deserved point for this
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Another thing that I think as contributed to Ritchie not getting a job is the fact that FBs are scarce in the NFL nowadays and teams that actually use them already have their guys. Teams like the Eagles, who use the position as window dressing, can rotate zesty players in and out.

They need a FB worth a shtein. Parry ain't one of 'em.

I'm driving to the NovaCare to talk to Big Red about Larry's Lewis/Spach plan.

Because all of your other ignorant and imbecilic posts put you in such a negative, it will take a lot of "I told you so's" to get out of it.

Not to mention, you said it wasn't because of his injury. Then WHY IS SUCH A GOOD FB STILL NOT ON A TEAM?
