The run defense sucked, but 14 points is 14 points. You hold a team to 14 and get three turnovers and you should win. Except when the other defense holds you to 10 and three turnovers.

very true...especially at lb, te, & o-line.
i wonder if the chad is able to play yet...they could use him on 3rd downs, especially since lj is dumb as they get.

I said the same thing last night about Chad. Of course I've been beating the "re-sign Lewis" drum since training camp.

But Chad was Donovan's safety blanket on 3rd downs and when he was in trouble. He didn't have him last night or in the SB and it hurt him, IMO.

Spach might turn out to be good...but get Chad back in here. Now.

And that was the worst we've seen from Donovan since the beginning of 2003. I truly believe that hole that Lavalais blasted in his chest really affected his accuracy. That + pressure hurt him.

after thinking about this more, and i blame this loss on MURP, and the lack of haiku thread last week.

I blame his inability to block, catch, and run.

I agree, I was going to say, was it my imagination, or did he become even more innaccurate on the next three or four series's after he was speared?

PhillyPhreak54

Yep. It affected him big time.

They never went deep again after that.

And even on intermediate routes he was off.

No way he loses his accuracy from last season to pre-season to this year.

That hit on him should've been a penalty too.

I said that too about the hit, MURP said I was retarded.

Damn right it should have been a penalty. I was thinking that the big ass pad he put on with his shoulder pads might have felt funny to him and might have contributed to his passing woes.

I was actually hoping he Irvin'd himself.

But F Artis Hicks for allowing him to get through.

Artis was garbage last night. And I like him, but jeez.

so whats the excuses?  was mcnabb hurt all game?  is that why he played like a pansey?  he looked horrible last night.  he just looked rattled all game and never got it together. the play calling was just as bad IMO.  Reid and Childress had no answer to the Falcons D.  i though the eagles D played well, but not as all the hype they were promising.  Vick had alot of protection.  Vick, despite not so great numbers, was on point last night.  He was def. the more accurate QB.  WHY THE farg didn't McNabb run the fargIN BALL!! If hes hurt get him the farg out.  Once again the blames all pretty much on McNabb.  I think last night he was scared after the hit...and he pretty couldn't get his confidence back.  We all know when McNabb gets that frown on his face the game is over.  DISAPPOINTING GAME.  But its only week one, so we have the entire season to make up.  Sorry i had  to rant and get some frustration out, im depressed as hell today.  fargin eagles!  :boo
