Id rather the Eagles get Levens for no pick, rather than give up a pick for a player who I feel is less adequate.   Thats why I am employed as a GM in the NFL.  nice.

Meh....a sixth round pick is nothing to major, and taking a flyer on Gordon, who has already made it in the NFL on a run first team isn't terrible. I'd like to see him brought in for depth, and have Dorsey come in for this year. But I don't think the Eagles will carry that many backs. I would be pissed if they brought Gordon in instead of Dorsey.

It's a tough call, because even if they do bring in Levens, this should definately be the last year he'd play, so I would like to see them bring in someone younger with similar skills they could develop over time to give them what Dorsey does. One guy I like, who went seventh in this years draft to the Skins was Nehemiah Broughton (5-11 250) out of The Citadel. He has looked like a excellent blocker and short-yardage back. Real punishing runner. So....if we could find something along those lines late in the draft next year...I'd say stick it out with Dorsey one more time.

I don't think Gordon is necessarily better than Levens.  A lot more upside, though.

Anyway, conveniently, #85 is wide open on the Eagles roster already.  I'm sure they're just waiting to announce until they make all the rest of the cuts.

Like I said, McCants is in... now do they replace the winner of the McMullen/Perez battle (IMO McMullen wins) with someone like Price?  I guess it's an extremely remote possibility.

The only way I see them bringing in another wideout is if they find someone who can step in immediately as the #2.  That means a receiver who has a strong background in the WCO.  Peerless Price, Jimmy Smith, Fred--nah won't even go there.
