He'd be perfect for blocking Simoneau in practice.

I'd say the chances are 99% it's McCants unless there's a surprise final cut, like Rashaun Woods, Josh Reed, or Jimmy Smith for instance.

If they sign both then Mccants should play TE. He's built like Gates,

yeah, and Pinkston is built like TO.

Price's agent rejects offer from Cowboys

Receiver, courted by four teams, wants long-term contract

IRVING – Coach Bill Parcells said he met with free-agent receiver Peerless Price Friday morning to discuss how he would fit into the Cowboys' offense.

Later, the Cowboys offered him a contract.

"It's nothing to make us move right now," said Tim McGee, Price's agent. "The ball is in their court."

McGee said he sent the Cowboys the parameters of what it would take to reach a deal. Price will visit the Saints in San Antonio today. The Cowboys are one of four teams to make Price an offer.

Parcells said the meeting went well.

"I told Peerless he would have to make his own role," Parcells said.

Parcells said Price, waived earlier this week by Atlanta, wants a long-term contract.

"I think he does have quickness, and I think he is receptive to coaching. And he has been productive in the league," said Parcells, "but as I told you I wouldn't get too presumptuous on this one."

Price arrived in Dallas last night and watched the final quarter of the Cowboys' preseason win over Jacksonville with owner Jerry Jones before having dinner with quarterback Drew Bledsoe.

"He has to decide where he wants to play. We've explored that, but I don't think anything is final," Parcells said.

Did he visit yet today?
I just saw Peerless and Andy over at Modell's down at the Quaker Bridge Mall shopping for receiver gloves. Weird.

Of course. Otherwise Price would get lost.

I noticed that someone mentioned Josh Reed earlier in the thread.

You can forget that.  I watched the Buffalo game last night and he looked like shtein.  Actually, I couldn't believe my eyes how bad he was playing so I asked the Buffalo guys if that was typical of his recent play and they all concured that he's sucked it up pretty bad.

:P

Does he have a history of injuries?

It says on ESPN the Cowboys signed Price, but the link isn't working right now.

QuoteThe Dallas Cowboys won the Peerless Price sweepstakes Saturday, reaching agreement on a one-year contract worth $2 million.

Price

The Cowboys beat out the Patriots, Dolphins and Saints in a competitive couple days of recruiting and negotiating with Price, who was released by the Atlanta Falcons in the cutdown to 65 earlier in the week.

On Friday, the numbers were at the $1.5 million level. The Cowboys finished the negotiations Saturday afternoon by offering the wide receiver $2 million for the season, including $500,000 in a signing bonus.

Price sat in Jerry Jones' owners box during the Cowboys preseason finale against the Texans. Price had just visited with the Patriots and Dolphins, but the Cowboys continued pitching their team and coach Bill Parcells.

Price won't automatically be thrust into the starting lineup. He will compete at the split end position and possibly share time with starters Terry Glenn and Keyshawn Johnson. Patrick Crayton had beaten out Quincy Morgan for the No. 3 role, but that goes to Price unless he gets the opportunity to start.

Morgan might be among the team's final cuts.

1 year 2 million dollars.

I doubt the Eagles even talked to him. What a joke.  :boo

We couldn't get him for one year?

Shut the farg up already.  Seriously, what the farg has price done to justify a $2 mil one year deal?  When he might be the fourth receiver on the team, and doesn't play ST?  Stop whining about everything.

hunt

i think he was giving his opinion.
anyway, that's not a bad deal for price, imo...give him 1 year & let him prove himself.  i'm not big on him but i wouldn't have minded if the eagles gave him a look.

Grow up, dude. If you can't handle a passionate sports fan getting angry and complaining once in a while then message boards aren't for you. Message boards are place where people with varying opinions come and express them. If you want an Eagles suckfest then start your own forum called just that.
