Have you guys seen how zesty Ben Roethlisberger looks this year? Man, he looks bad. I've read a few stories on PFT about how a lot of the team thinks his head got too big and it looks like they could be right.

Duce is out until October 10th, Bettis hurt his calf last night, Roethlisberger looks like poo and they no longer have Plax.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them lose that division to Baltimore despite Kyle Boller looking even shteintier.

Big Ben looked like shtein the second half of last year. He was horrible. The run game and the defense saved his ass from losing all of those games. But no media hack will talk about that for some reason.

Does anyone else see the Steelers taking a rather large step back this season?

With the way Big Ben played to end the season last year (last 6 games and the playoffs, he was horrible)....and how he's looked so far this preseason, yes.

I sure hope so, I have so many Steelers fan friends and they piss me off so bad.  I kept telling them last year that eventhough Ben was having an awesome season the playoffs are a whole new ball game.  They didn't want to listen and he looked like a rookie in both of those games.

About time that organization did something right. Now they need to quit screwing with Benson and get him in.

Caver cut by the Chiefs.

Vermeil quotes:
"The first player I want to talk about is veteran Quinton Caver, who's been with us for three and a half years. Done a really great job on special teams, made over 40 special teams tackles and started four games for us. Just a super guy but with our draft choices and the acquisition of Kendrell Bell it makes it really tough for that kind of guy (to make it). By letting him go a week earlier than we have to, we give him an opportunity to be evaluated by the rest of league and we may be able to help him get a job.

"But he's a great kid and he's helped my wife on the Operation Breakthrough program and been good in the community. We'll miss him; you always miss those kinds of guys who help you build a football team. But that's part of it."

Oh, just as an aside:

"Q: Do you have any interest in Corey Simon who is now available?

VERMEIL: "I would. We haven't talked about yet. But I plan to talk about it. I just don't know if we have the money that it would take to get involved. He would be a tremendous addition, believe me. I think everybody in the National Football League at least has to have an interest to inquire."

Did you guys notice that John Abraham signed his FA tender today?

He got scurrrrrred that he'd be Corey Simon'd.

WEST is GOD

Eagles should go after Abraham next offseason. We need two monster DEs.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

I think PFT was the first to present this theory.  It's just mere coincidence.

If Abraham would've been released from his frnachise tag, many teams would pony up the big bucks to get him.  Teams are always looking for a premier pass-rushing DE.  Just last season, Ogunleye got his money even though he sat out the entire preseason.
