On defense, the Skins really didnt' lose much in Pierce and Smoot.  Pierce was a 2nd-string player that got called to duty and played admirably all year.  He won't do that 2 years in a row.  Smoot gives too much cushion to WRs so I wasn't sorry to see him go at all.

you've got to be shteinting me.

Last year, Pierce was so farging good that he made Trotter look like a waste in Skinsland. All Skins fans talked about was how Trotter sucked and that Pierce was 500 times the MLB Trotter EVER was or would be. AND that he was younger....AND that his knees were great. You all slobbered over Pierce so much it made the rest of us all sick.

And Smoot? LMFAO...NOW he sucks? LOL...we've been telling Skins fans that for years. But all we got in return was that he was better than anyone on our secondary.  ::)

Don't act like the is our first time on the big, ole, world wide web.  :-D  We've been reading skinsfan bullshtein for years. Don't backpedal. You look like an ass.

And PS...He tucked the ball under his arm before he hit the ground. Not bobbling it. It was not even CLOSE to being a bad call. It was an interception.

The ball hit the ground, didnt tuck, look at it frame by frame at end of video

Dumb AND blind. Great combination.

IF our offense improves there is little we can not do,

The offense has no choice but to improve seeing as it's unpossible to have points taken away.

QuoteEagle fans i wnat an outside view what is messed up on our team player wise. No shtein about snyder or salary cap, what on the field is messed up. Ramsey is the only thing in my opinion and he will improve.

Well, first off you really can't criticize a team without starting at the top.  And Snyder has run that team into the ground.  During his ownership there has been too many personal and coaching moves which makes it hard to build any type of continuity.  The way to win in the NFL is through the draft and developing talent from within while adding a few key players through free agency.  The Skins are doing it completely backwards by signing everyone available and then drafting a few players with the picks they have left.

I'm not going to say that Gibbs is done and that the game has passed him by, but there sure were a lot of times last season where Gibbs just flat out looked lost.  How long until Danny boy grows tired of his new toy and goes shopping for a new one?

As for the players.  Ramsey sucks.  He's done so stick a fork in him.  Santana Moss and David Patten are both decent receivers but undersized and neither one of them is suited to be a #1.   Portis and John Jansen are about the only 2 players on the offensive side of the ball worth keeping.  Cut the rest and start over from scratch.

PhillyGirl

Ramsey sucks. Period. Non-delusional Skins fans know this. He's NOT getting any better. Quit trying to convince actual football fans that. If he were an Eagle I'd be calling for Reid's head that he was starting. He's the Bobby Hoying (without the fanfare) of the Skins.

first off that is why we think ramsey makes horrible choices sometimes, that was an INT,even if it wasn't no differense for either team.  It didn't touch the ground, it was bobbled but it was an INT.  taterskins need ramsey to make better decisions or we aren't going no where.  Most fans know that our season is in the hands of Ramsey.  That was an INT and it was a farging dumb pass by ramsey.

check it out, slow it down, was not an int, should have been challenged:

Guess what jackass.  The play happened after the 2 minute warning so the coaches couldn't challenge.  If the replay booth felt that it needed to be looked at, they would have buzzed the ref.  Bottom line is that it was an interception, no doubt about it.  Go back to eating paint chips.

First of all, if you knew me (which you don't and I don't expect you to take the time to), you would know that I'm not one of those fans that love people one minute and trash them when they leave.

I always hated Smoot.  The guy couldn't cover a bed with a blanket.  I was glad to see him leave.  I did like Pierce a lot.  He played with a lot of heart and intensity...but he just played over his head.  I think the law of averages will catch up to him this year...and he won't have as impressive of year this year as last year.  Just my (unfortunately large) gut telling me that.

Regarding Trotter, yes he absolutely sucked in the taterskins scheme.  I had hoped he would come around but he never did.  He is obviously much better suited for the Eagles defensive scheme...and he is now playing for a team that will enable him to play to his potential.

As for backpedaling, that's something I don't do.  Unlike your views of a lot of taterskins fans (sounds like you think we're all clueless), I'm not one of those fans.  I'm a realist.  Will the Eagles beat us twice this year?  Probably....but I wouldn't bet the house on it.

Like it or not, the Skins have improved this year...and you're gonna see it.  Just "how much" they've improved is the question to be answered.  It's exciting for me to see, however.

And to those of you that say you've seen similar taterskins fans posts in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, you're just generalizing things way too much.  Sure, as all fans, we are all optimistic at the beginning of each year and we will certainly post messages that reflect that optimism.  I can say that the Eagles have failed their fans in 2001-2002-2003-2004, but that would be too easy.

The Eagles are still the team to beat in the NFC East.  That's for sure.  Just don't be surprised if/when you see an up-and-coming taterskins team give you problems.

Again, all of that novella you just typed out? Same old shtein as every single year.

IF (and that's a big IF) there is a team that might give the Eagles a bit of a problem in one of the games this year, it sure isn't going to be the Skins. Dallas might end up being the one team we don't beat by 10 or more points.

And that again, is a HUGE if.

Would you bet $5? I know some people who would take that bet  :)

How is your team 'Up and coming'? Your owner doesn't believe in building through the draft and he blows at managing your cap. He's a 'win now' type of guy. Why else do you think he'd bring Mr. Nascar back? (BTW--I think he'll of had enough after another abysmal season and call it quits...JMO)

I will tell you that General Failure is a welcome guest at the message board where I post.  I see that there is a reason I have so few posts over here.  All of you are too passionate to see reality yourselves.

You fans think taterskins fans are clueless and are blinded by our hope year and and year out.  Eagles fans cannot accept the fact that their team just may not be the best in the NFC and other teams just may challenge them.

Hear me now...and feel free to tape this to your PC, the taterskins WILL BEAT the Eagles one time this year.  If the Eagles somehow manage to sweep the Skins, feel free to come over to THEHOGS.NET and blast me.

Otherwise, I'm outta hear.  I think if I stay around too much longer, my IQ will drop dramatically by the company I'm keeping.

For the most part, they are. Just like every other team's fans. There's even a few Eagles fans that think Pinkston and Trotter are good players.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Bigskinbauer

i have seen it but my only point is it doesn't make a damn differense anyways, i mean all we can do is evaluate preformances, we have to look at each idividual play as its own and say good or bad for Ramsey.  Regardless of whether or not that was an INT that was the worst choice to make.  Ramsey skrewed up, don't get me wrong i am always supporting Ramsey but that was just plain stupid.  After it leaves Ramsey's hands his job is done, and he did a bad job regardless.  I see what you mean but it was within 2 minutes and it had to be booth review,  but even if we won it would mean very little for both teams.
We played well against you guys by the way.

He's not a sell out.  He just has the ability, unlike the rest of you, to create posts with intelligence.  He can talk football "facts" without being clouded by passion.  He also has a someone skewed sense of reality which is always refreshing.
