Another thing...if they plan on picking up a good WR, they better hope  any who shake loose will play for the vet minimum. Because they've got about $5M left in cap room.

1. They still need to sign Westbrook
2. They need to extend Mike Lewis
3. They'll need to sign a vet WR (maybe)
4. They like to keep $2M for injuries & LTBE's to be written in for use next year

Cap room is doubled just by dumping Simon.

You're right. But they're not just going to dump him, although I wouldn't mind it.

Simon is their biggest trading chip to be used if they feel the need to suspend TO for the whole year. Simon could bring a good WR in return. He is a stubborn sonofabitch though and asks for ridiculous contracts. So no team can work out a deal with him.

blah blah blah...TO will NOT be traded.

You a lawyer?  :sly

lol, I was imitating the dude from Phreak's post.

All I've got to say is that it's a good thing that I didn't see this posting before I got home from school.  That would have been a day of education wasted for too many students.

"Mr. Summers, how do I answer..."

"Shhhhhhhhhh!  Can't you see I'm posting!  Go to your seat!"

:-D

WEST is GOD

What could Simon and a 2nd rounder get us? Not anyone specific but a player in someone's ball park. I guess it depends on the team that needs a DT.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

Therein lies the problem. He only wants to go to certain teams and his demands change depending on the team who asks about him. When San Fran asked, he said he would take a $20M SB, with the Ravens, it was 15M.

No one will work with him on it.

I think Simon and a 5th could get us Robert Ferguson. He isn't worth trading for though. We could probably get him just for Simon. He is a #2 at best. Would the Saints give up Stallworth for Simon and a pick? Would the Bills give up Moulds for Simon and a pick? What about Charles Rogers from the Lions? Just trying to throw names out there. I love speculation.  >:D

You are completely missing the point on this whole Simon thing. NO TEAM will trade for him with his demands. NONE, NADA, ZERO.

Westbrook and Mahe at WR, Buck and Moats (when Buck gets hurt) at RB.

I know that, but it's still fun to speculate. Just like everyone did before we got TO.

QuoteI think I will take the view of hope, that he'll get his head together and come back right. If not, he doesn't play. Simple.
