Apparently, they're going to try to stick with Az Hakim as their 3rd receiver, which would lead me to believe that the Eagles didn't even think Johnson was "worthy" of the #4 WR role on the team.

My completely uninformed guess would be that Johnson wins the slot receiver position from Az-Hakim or that they split time. Johnson isn't worth a ton of money or a starting job for a good team, but he's a perfect slot guy. Good hands and all.

My other guess would be that one of the top three WRs get hurt anyway and his official position on the depth chart won't matter at that point.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Displaced

Just saw on the ESPN@ crawl that the Jets traded for one of the Raiders TE's.  My questions are does this take them out of the market for a TE and if so does Heath Miller fall to the Eagles; if so do the Eagles take him?

My completely informed guess is both KJ and Hakim will be starting by week 6.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I think KJ and Hakim cried themselves to sleep Saturday night.

QuoteGiants | Looking At Flutie - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 28 Apr 2005 21:54:19 -0700

The New York Times reports free agent QB Doug Flutie (Chargers) visited with the New York Giants on Thursday. He also took a physical for the team. Giants GM Ernie Accorsi described the visit as a routine part of the team's evaluation of available players. It is unclear if negotiations between the Giants and Flutie's agent, Kristen Kuliga, were underway

While the Giants were looking, the Patriots were signing.

The signing of a 42-year-old backup QB usually gets little hype and less fanfare.

Larry

He played for the Patriots back when they had the minuteman on their helmets. :-D

The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys newly added RB Anthony Thomas will serve as the backup running back to starting RB Julius Jones. Thomas is the bigger back type that head coach Bill Parcells likes.

The Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys have signed free agent RB Anthony Thomas (Bears) to a one-year deal. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Jones
Thomas
Barber III

Nice trio of backs there in Dallas...

PoopyfaceMcGee

Barber III could be crap, for all we know, and Anthony Thomas IS crap.

Westbrook > J. Jones
Buckhalter > "A-Train"
Moats > Barber III

Nice trio of backs we have here in Philly.  Cowboys still suck.

The same could be said for Moats.  Just satisfying the antagonist in me....     ;)
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Agreed, but the Eagles picked Moats when Barber III was still on the board.
