Apparently, they're going to try to stick with Az Hakim as their 3rd receiver, which would lead me to believe that the Eagles didn't even think Johnson was "worthy" of the #4 WR role on the team.

My completely uninformed guess would be that Johnson wins the slot receiver position from Az-Hakim or that they split time. Johnson isn't worth a ton of money or a starting job for a good team, but he's a perfect slot guy. Good hands and all.

My other guess would be that one of the top three WRs get hurt anyway and his official position on the depth chart won't matter at that point.

Just saw on the ESPN@ crawl that the Jets traded for one of the Raiders TE's.  My questions are does this take them out of the market for a TE and if so does Heath Miller fall to the Eagles; if so do the Eagles take him?

The New York Times reports free agent QB Doug Flutie (Chargers) visited with the New York Giants on Thursday. He also took a physical for the team. Giants GM Ernie Accorsi described the visit as a routine part of the team's evaluation of available players. The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys newly added RB Anthony Thomas will serve as the backup running back to starting RB Julius Jones. Thomas is the bigger back type that head coach Bill Parcells likes.

Agreed, but the Eagles picked Moats when Barber III was still on the board.
