I'm not too much of a Gardner fan. He earned the nickname "50/50" down there because he only caught the ball 50% of the time.

But...

If it meant trading Freddie for him? I'd do it.

MURP

I agree 100% with those thoughts Phreak.

Buccaneers: Galloway signs five-year deal

Quote
News
The Buccaneers re-signed wide receiver Joey Galloway to a five-year contract on Tuesday, according to the Tampa Tribune. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The Bucs acquired Galloway prior to last season in a trade that sent disgruntled wideout Keyshawn Johnson to the Cowboys. The 33 year-old wideout missed six games with groin and hamstring injuries. He finished the year with 33 receptions for 416 yards and five touchdowns.

Views
Quarterback Brian Griese has to be pleased, as the salary cap strapped Bucs managed to re-sign Galloway, who will likely start opposite Michael Clayton again this season. Galloway scored all five touchdowns in December last year, which is a good sign that he and Griese were on the same page at season's end.

I'd trade Freddie for a bag of Fritos (not bbq, though).

wiggins stays with the vikes

QuoteThe Vikings have agreed to terms with free agent tight end Jermaine Wiggins on a five-year deal worth $7.3 million with a $1 million signing bonus, his agent, George Mavrikes, told the Star Tribune on Tuesday

He's a good TE, for that much money I think he'd of been a great pick up.

He wanted to stay there all along, the same deal here wouldn't have mattered.

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports San Diego Chargers WR Keenan McCardell has signed a two-year extension with the team. He received a signing bonus of $4.1 million, with base salaries of $2.65 million (2006) and $2.6 million (2007). McCardell was due a base salary of $2.75 million in 2005 under his old contract, a figure that has been reduced to $1 million under the new deal. In total, he will receive $7.6 million in "new money".

ESPN News reporting that David Boston is probably going to the Niners where his offensive coach from the Cards now works as the OC.

And breaking news....the Colts have informed the agent of Edgerrin James that they are looking to trade him as of today.

Edge to Miami, where he'll immediately toke up and gain 40 pounds.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Apparently, Edge deal would be done for less than a first round pick!  :paranoid

I would take him or Howard for a second rounder.
