He hasn't posted since Super Bowl Sunday.  According to Trauma (Bob), he's taking a lot of pain medication and may not have much longer....  :'(

Bob said the surgery was never a viable option...  :(

He says he talks to Jess 4 times a week and says she's holding up well....

I haven't been to the EMB in months, so the only "news" regarding Herb I've gotten was whatever a friend of mine had come across while there.

I love Herb. I do not want to even think about him not beating this again.

I'm gonna throw something in the mail to him, but, I'd appreciate it if someone could pass along my well wishes to him, if the opportunity arises.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

He's incredible.  If anyone deserves a break, it's Herb.  Just an indominable spirit there along with being one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

I spoke to Herb last Saturday, and although he sounded a bit weak, I knew he was really happy to hear were all giving him our best. Herb really is an amazing guy. Those who have had the pleasure of meeting him and Jess really understand what I mean.

Romey's right. Herb's gonna beat this.
