I can see why that would play well with the movie-going public-- but that's definately a cooler ending!

the directors cut DVD of Butterfly Effect has a much better ending than the theatrical version.

What was the alternate ending?

He came out from behind the hidden wall and told them they were all 'Punk'D!'

No, that wasn't it. He found the car, dude.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Went to see White Noise the other night.  While the trailor looked good, the movie was predictable from start til about 1/2 through.  Then you weren't sure where it was going.  Not that it made it a good movie.  I wouldn't suggest wasting the $ to see it in the theatre.  Acting was weak.
EVP(Electronic Voice Phenomenon), is kind of a freaky thing, i looked it up on the internet and found some weird shtein. I won't be trying it.

Rented The Village.  I liked it better than Unbreakable and Signs.  Sixth Sense is still his best movie IMO.  The ending of the Village had me thinking for awhile.  I liked it.  Good flick.   :yay

The other night I saw "American Movie". Quite unusual. It's basically a documentary about this kid from Milwaukee (along with others) making short feature films. No acting, it's all real. It was a little depressing in a subtle way. These guys are pushing 30 and clinging to the hope that they'll do something with their lives, but you just get the sense that just being in this low budget flick will be the highlight of these poor bastiches' lives.

Dude...that movie is GREAT.  His friend was friggin' hilarious.  Also, those 2 guys did a commercial for the NFL network concering the different kinds of sausage that are cooked at Packer tailgates.

Just an FYI, I borrowed it from some friends who obsess over it. They went on the website and Mike Schank's phone # is available there. My boy Jeff locked it into his cellphone and has called him twice. Apparently Mike is really cool but really lonely.

BTW, on the DVD you can watch "Coven". Anyone else watch it? I dug it.  :yay

Was worth seeing but wouldn't call it one of the better sports movies I've seen. However, the insanity of the parents in Texas in regards to HS football makes it worth watching.

BTW, I've heard "Hide and Seek" is the most obvious and formulaic "horror" movie, and it basically just steals ideas from the other plot twist movies.  Apparently, FOX shipped the ending separately to try to keep it a secret, but any half-savvy movie-goer knows what it is just by watching the previews (I did already, for instance).

Skip.
