anyone who liked Napolean Dynamite needs to seriously take a look at your lifes priorities. i dont think i ever wanted a movie to end in a mass suicide scene more than i did watching that peice of shtein.

i am pissed at myself for watching that all the way though.

I'm sorry Wingspan...maybe it was too complicated for you....or not political enough ;)

heh. political? what does that have to do with anything?

there was nothing complicated about this movie at all. it was 90 minutes of flat jokes and pointless stringing together of scenes. and it was completely devoid of any sort of story.

all i heard was how funny the movie was. it wasnt funny. minus the 3 times i laughed. Rex Kwan Do was funny. and the line about 1% milk was funny. and when kip ran over the bowl and sped away was amusing...but really. this was a colassal waste of time.

different strokes for different folks.  You either get that type of humor or you dont.  I personally thought it was an awesome movie.  You sound a little angry about it Wingspan..... its just a movie ;)

I saw Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow---  wasnt very good.  Interesting how they made the movie, but the script, acting, and action was all fairly week.

Zanshin

That Sky Captain movie looked horrendous.

I decided not to see that one based on the name.

Try watching it again, the second time was better for me.

Finally saw I, Robot last night on DVD.  It was OK, but didn't really enthrall me as much as I had hoped.

By the way, such is the life of the parents of a 16-month old.  See the movies months later when you can take 'em home.  :-\

Saw Butterfly Effect the other day on Starz...was doing some stuff while it was in the background.  Calling it "Good" might be a stretch, but it wasn't bad...and Ashton Kutcher was less annoying than I usually think he is.

Anyway, it went from something on in the background, to something I sat back and watched.

Funny you mentioned that movie.  I went and saw it in the theater when it was out and was impressed...probably because I had low-expectations.  But still a good, and interesting flick.  A much different character then what Kutcher normally plays.

the directors cut DVD of Butterfly Effect has a much better ending than the theatrical version.

mikey418

Really....I thought the alternate ending kinda sucked....altho the deleted scenes were better.

You just liked to see the Kutcher die :D

What was the alternate ending?
