I was shocked when I took a cruise out of Baltimore how long it took to get to the ocean. It was ridiculous.  Philly getting a state of the art cruise terminal in a couple years for this sane reason.

Philly's gain is Baltimore's loss

bad news for my hometown

The Sobotka's weep.

Baltimore is a huge plywood port. A lot of Russian Birch gets shipped into there.

It's not the heavy blow it looks, as those lines weren't pushing much through Baltimore, but it's not good for us.

We're in the process of rebuilding a chokepoint tunnel that dates to before the civil war or some shtein, and some small bridges on the same line, so we can move freight by double decker train through the City.

Can't happen fast enough.

Most imported vehicles sold East of the river come through Baltimore.

It's not geographical it's how long it takes.  The ships drive sooooo slow.
