a lot of scouts lowkey thought he could make "the leap" this year. we'll see.

unrelated, but one of the phillies scouts came up to my section for no particular reason. he was most excited about tait, and believes he can stick at catcher. hes in clearwater and is like 18, so be patient, but its a real one to track. dude can hit but people are mixed on the position.

no john sightings yet. an amateur scout for the team legit randomly came up just to be with the fans. he did it again tonight and i chatted him up. he didnt really seem to know a whole lot, hes gotta be really far down the org chart and not privy to much. but im trying to make a friend, he seems kinda lonely honestly.

i had a tennis thing and left after the 4th but id imagine it had to do with him being terrible and the plan was 2 times through then call it

the biggest issue with the pen is their inability to produce talent internally. you cannot go hunting for relievers on the open market and think its gonna work everytime.
