I don't think this Phoenix fan base has any idea how good the Dbacks are. This team is young and loaded with talent. Very exciting to watch.  No energy here, pipped in loud music, make noise instructions.  I get they're all transplants here but still man,

i really dont think it has anything to do with the quality of the opponents, baseball isnt like in a macro sense. they are just collectively playing like complete shtein, perhaps because they are? a bulk of these losses have very little to do with who they are facing, but rather just utter internal failure

Please. I've been lurking on this site for years... You're "that" guy - you pop up and run on when things seem to match your doom and gloom narrative and you're nowhere around when they don't.

This Phillies team may collapse - don't know.  Personally I think they'll play out of this and do very well in the post season.  Again, time will tell.

But your take is mostly crap imo and just hate. 

shtein - Texas Rangers won the W.S. last year.  They lost 8 in row from 8/16 - 8/25 last year... hell - they lost 16 of 20 at one point in the 2nd half of the season. 

The '21 Braves won the WS - they didn't get to .500 W/L until August 5th that year.

'19 Nats won the WS and started 19-31.

'17 Dodgers went to the WS (lost 4-3) and they lost 16 out of 17 - including 11 in a row in September of that year.

Go look at the O's or Yankees or Guardian's of THIS year... Os have multiple stretches of 5 losses in a row.  Same w/ NYY - they have a like a 5-15 stretch in June... the Guardians just dropped 7 in a row THIS month.. including being swept by the Diamondbacks.

I could go on and on w/ examples of teams that hit a real zesty patch, or several of them, during a season.

So per you - when the Phillies hit a rough patch - they're "exposed"... but I'd bet all those other teams I just mentioned... totally different... amirite? 

It's farging baseball... it's a long season and every team is going to hit rough patches.  You may end up being right - but to keep throwing that shtein out in June/July/August every time the team has a bad stretch - thats just farging weak.  That's "Imma take my ball and go home" type shtein.

The Phillies are 69-49.  They have a 7.5 game lead in their division.  It's August 12th.
