I'm also negative but mild cold symptoms, feeling much better than her

We lost our guidance secretary yesterday.  Had Lupus, caught Covid last year and never fully recovered.

One of the kindest women I've ever met.  Great with the kids and patient with the asshat teachers like me.  Worked with her for 25 years.

Right?  It's almost a relief in a way, because it's been feeling pretty inevitable for along time.  I'm thankful we managed to avoid it until after everyone had their shots.  I'm sure we'll be fine.  No one with immune system troubles or antyhing like that.

So I can now say with firsthand experience, COVID sucks.  Try not to get it.

Got my 4th Covid shot on May 2nd. Had a sore arm for a day and I was really tired for the first couple days after but no ill effects. 

I'm not sure how or why but none of us have gotten it yet.  Everyone I know has to one degree or another.  Those who've been vaxxed have experienced nasty cold symptoms but that's it. 

The un-vaxxed have been blasted by it (hospitalized/long Covid/dead).  Found out my pal at work who lost her husband lost her former mother-in-law.  Not vaxxed and so now she's lost her husband and both in-laws to it.  So many needless deaths.   So farging tragic.

We got out first boosters a month ago. And yes it does suck. I've had it twice and both times is was different but zesty.

Yeah, not feeling better yet.  The others are, but I'm in the thick of it.  I want to keep sleeping but I've slept so much I can't.  Frustrating.

Oh man. How many days into it are you?

During my second time it was like two phases. Four of feeling like a cold and then four like I had the flu. Two of the days I slept like 18 hours. I'd never been that tired before.

Third day today...woke up feeling a bit better.

Hot Nurse Wife has lingering, pestering cough but otherwise much better.  Kids over it.

Just chatted with some friends who are elderly.  77 and 78.  Done everything right, got all their shots....years into this and they're basically prisoners in their own home.  Much like my friends (plural, unfortunately) who are cancer patients.  F'n infuriatingg.
