man hurts has been good this half...like very good

He's been good since the Detroit game. They ran the ball a lot last week but he was efficient. I'm not saying he's the future but he's improved. Part of that is play calling and Sirriani actually running the ball.

He had a strong game but his severe limitations are still evident all the time. Doesn't utilize the whole field, doesn't look beyond the first read. Can't be a consideration for a long term QB until he figures those things out, even if his accuracy and decision making are as good as they were in the first half. I hope he can put it all together but am skeptical.

I still think he's the QB next year because I don't really see any substantially better option being available, except maybe a dirtbag who blows loads onto Instagram masseuses.

Hurts is much better than he was but that's no reason to settle for him going forward.  I mean if it came down to it and they had to stick with him and drastically upgrade the defense with those picks coming, then yes, keep him around for now. 

They're not winning anything anytime soon anyway.

if hes qb1 next year...first off yuck...second off theres really no plan b after. watson-rodgers-wilson are all being moved this offseason. the next group, youre talking guys like carr-jimmy g-danny dimes-matt ryan-baker-teddy b.

Latest mocks have 2 or 3 qbs in the 1st round but none of them are anything special. Hopefully Howie realizes this isn't a deep qb draft and doesn't reach. Not sure if he'd wave his ntc but I think Howie's offseason priority is Watson. They took Vick so I doubt they care about their reputation.

watson-rodgers-wilson are all being moved this offseason.

Watson is radioactive for the foreseeable future, but I think he's the only one the Eagles could land. The decision to trade for him goes well beyond football and I would be shocked if Lurie signed off on it. And it would still require Watson waiving a no-trade clause.

Rodgers and Wilson will get to call their destination and I don't see either choosing Philly. As for draft capital, the Giants need a QB and could have two picks higher than any of the Eagles picks. Jets supposedly have a QB of the future but also are going to have two early first rounders if they want to make a splash.

Vick did everything right from the moment he plead guilty. Did time, showed remorse, worked with animal organizations. Yes there are people who can never forgive treating dogs like that, which makes it a PR challenge, but Vick had a path back to respectability laid out before him and he took that path and never wavered.

Watson is in a whole different place with his shtein.

And dogs don't buy Eagles merch. Women do.

Yeah QB is spot on here. Watson is bad business. Despite Lurie showing willingness to give guys second chances this is one he cannot take that shot on. Nor should he.

Rodgers isn't coming here.

Maaaaybe they have a shot at Wilson but if youse thought Five was a cornball wait til Russ shows up. But ultimately I can't see him coming here.

And the guys in that second tier aren't better than Jalen. Or if some are it's marginal and not worth bringing them in.

The draft stinks for QBs. Flat out stinks. If a dude from Falwell University is getting mentions as a top guy step back and breathe. And as much as I like Matt Corral as a college QB he's not top of the first round material. shtein maaaaaybe he's a second rounder in a normal draft.

Jalen Hurts is QB1 for this year and next. Let him grow (or fail).

Watson's situation still has to play itself out. He hasn't been charged with a crime...there's just a bunch of civil lawsuits. Vick didn't show real remorse until he was behind bars. His ascension back to respectability is nothing short of remarkable and this is coming from a pitbull lover. Trump cheated on 3 wives, rawdogged and paid off a porn star, was caught saying he kisses women without their consent and grabs them by the Hoyda...he went on to beat the first ever female Presidential candidate (who actually got the nominee).

the eagles are too big to fail and have too many fans who think supermaning instagram message therapists is a perfectly fine thing so this aint no business decision...its about what lurie wants and what he can stomach. whatever team trades for him will take some hits, there will be a christine brennan column and the libs will lib then everyone will move on and the games will start and itll all be about how he plays (after his suspension).

If the situation is resolved and he's not suspended (ftr what he did was scummy but I don't see him serving any jail time assuming charges get brought up) I'd take him. Bout to hit his prime top 5 qb. If the accusations are proven say you're sorry, take some classes, donate some money and move on.

Quarterback is not the highest priority with this team.  With no better prospects on the horizon, Hurts is fine for now, maybe for next year, too.  The team needs talent everywhere.  If you want to blow all the capital to add a serial sexual predator who threw the ball good before his disgusting treatment of vulnerable women, I won't be watching, and neither will be a lot of people who could care less about his repugnant character, because he'll still be surrounded by trash, and the product on the field will suck hairy balls.

Trade some of that capital out so the team is in good position for when a decent QB prospect is available, and use the rest to add actual f'n playmakers to the team.

I enjoy watching Jalen Hurts.  Even when he throws a wobbly noodle arm pass I'm happy that I don't have to cheer for Wentz.

And there is zero chance they sign Watson.  Lurie is probably not the progressive god many people think he is but he won't cross that line.
