Just read that Kerryon Johnson was cut. 

The TE prospect Tyree Jackson is reportedly out with a 8-10 week back injury.  I think he's got Howie Project written all over him.

the big difference is if you put him on the 53 you have the option of short term IR'ing him...the only reason you do that tho is if you think he is so promising you want him to practice this year to get experience cause long term IR he is not allowed to even practice...he wasn't going to contribute in games this year fully healthy so your end game this season is to not lose him...really no reason not to long term IR him and start again next year if you like him that much

I also think there is little to no chance another team would sign him in September hurt so they could cut him and then bring him back on the 53 in a month...let's be honest tho do the Eagles really have a 53rd guy worth keeping enough that you would chance this guy getting plucked by another team?

they havent IRed him yet in preseason which just feels like a waste. dude if nothing else needs practice reps so just stashing him and making him lift weights for the season dont make sense
