Houston superintendent is talking about making them mandatory and bypassing Abbott's "no mandate" ruling. The fine for ignoring it is $1000. Hope the school board approves it.

Saw my plumber today.  He told a familiar tale of shooting the shtein at the supply house, only guy in the place wearing a mask.  One dude gives him the "you don't have to wear that in here," and another says "if God wants me to get sick, I'll get sick, etc."  It's all jocular and he's letting it slide but they push him a bit more than they ought to, and so he replies to one of them, "I'm wearing this to protect you iceholes because I have the Covid now."

All four dudes step back, move a few steps away.

"Should I take the mask off?  Maybe God wants you to get sick today." 

"No man, really?"

"Yeah really.  The Delta.  I got the shot so its mild.  Wanna kiss?"

Further social distancing suddenly seems wise to the morons, who aren't smiling anymore.
