i want to punt carson in a pot of holy water as much as anyone but the team gets a bunch of blame. to go from mega-extension to "he has to go" in a farging year is impressive

if by has to go you mean cause of play in the field then I'd agree

I believe Wentz has forced their hand via the off the field stuff...Im still not sure howie will trade him but even if he does it's not going to be because he wants to it's going to be because he feels he has to cause the relationship isn't salvageable...

Wentz is the biggest thing howie has ever done in terms of personnel decisions...that's HIS guy...the fear alone of him going somewhere else and being successful has to be enough to not deal him not to mention they have zero plan b so if they trade him shtein has truly gotten hellaciously bad

its my *guess* this is all cropping up because howie is getting a justifiable return (a 1 and change) and can parlay that with "well he didnt want to be here anymore, we wanted him but..." to save his ass, so he put out the smoke signals to rapoport and schefter

he cried about not be appreciated enough sure...but imagine someone whining after having an epically bad season coming off signing a massive contract...that takes some balls

Like how do you, as a professional athlete, look at yourself on film and think "man, I played good" when he was literally one of the worst QBs in the game?

But to trade him when he has shown he is much better than that 2020 season is insane. Especially with a new staff coming in. Maybe they get him right? Or maybe he's sad that his BFF Press isn't coming back.

Whatever. If they have to deal him lets just hope that 1) Howie isn't raked over the coals in a deal and 2) he doesn't end up somewhere and become an MVP.
