perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

seems like a move to set up the next grift with her wretched husband

I think it's more about her daughter wanting emancipation and saying she's been abused for years.

yea buddy this is a family grift
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

phattymatty

you're probably right but 2 of the 3, regardless of how awful they are, are at least trying to do something right at this moment.  feel like the family drama might be real.

also I saw a tiktok video from the daughter and feel like I should be arrested.

SD

My 12 year old daughter knows how much I hate Trump but otherwise couldn't give two shteins about politics. I had cnn on as background while I was working...had to run her over to her friends at lunch. She comes downstairs and hears the highlights from the RNC and asks me "daddy what are you watching"...I said so those were the highlights from the RNC...Trumps party. She says "they all sound like they're crazy".

I taught her basic Government civics (separation of powers, what each branch does, how a bill/law gets passed) but at the most basic innocent level without any knowledge of politics even she gets it

SD

RNC night 1 drew 3 million less viewers than the DNC night 1 and is down 26% from night 1 of last years RNC.

Well, all those brave police officers couldn't watch it because ANTIFA was burning down America.

I want Cheeto Dick to be told his RNC ratings were beaten by the DNC

General_Failure

They're beyond pretending that their base cares about facts. Just say the right words in any order and it's all good.

email i just got at work....absolutely precious

QuoteGood Morning,

Today the Ethics Office is providing a refresher about how to avoid violating the Hatch Act while using email.

As you know, federal employees may not advocate for the success or failure of a political party, partisan political group, or candidate for partisan political office while on duty (this includes telework) or while in the workplace. Merely forwarding an email that contains a partisan political message while on duty or in the workplace violates the Hatch Act, regardless of whether the message is sent on personal or official email.

Below are several examples of email content that would violate the Hatch Act if you send the message to others while you are on duty or in the federal workplace. This list is not exhaustive but helps to illustrate how easily the Hatch Act can be violated:

•   Avatars or customized email signatures that include partisan political campaign slogans, images of partisan political candidates, and campaign logos;
•   Invitations to political functions for a partisan political candidate, party, or political group;
•   Attachments that contain partisan political content;
•   News articles that have a political message, such as an opinion piece, or if you or another person adds political commentary when forwarding the article
•   Photos or memes that depict a partisan political candidate, party, or group or that convey a partisan sentiment;
•   Jokes or other messages within the body of the email that are in support of or in opposition to a partisan political candidate, party, or group; and/or
•   Links that take the reader to a partisan political website or donation page.

With respect to this last bullet, the Hatch Act prohibits federal employees from soliciting, accepting or receiving donations or contributions on behalf of a partisan political candidate, party, or political group. It is one of the 24/7 prohibitions placed on a federal employee's partisan political activity. You can view the other three 24/7 prohibitions here. Regarding fundraising, if a federal employee forwards an email to friends and acquaintances, and that message happens to contain a link to a website which solicits donations for a partisan political candidate, the distribution of that email would violate the Hatch Act. This is the case even if the federal employee did not explicitly request or direct the recipients of the email to contribute or wasn't even aware of the fundraising link.

Remember, the Hatch Act imposes certain restrictions so that federal agencies can maintain a politically neutral workplace. In light of the Hatch Act's prohibition on engaging in partisan political activities in the workplace, use of Agency resources, including the NLRB's IT resources, for partisan political purposes is considered a misuse of government property and violates misuse provisions in the Standards of Conduct.

By ensuring that you don't distribute partisan political content to others while on duty or in the federal workplace or using government resources, including by email, you will help us avoid Hatch Act and Agency policy violations and maintain a robust ethical culture at the NLRB.
