We had an election last week and still don't know the results because there was a typo in a pile of ballots that prevent them being scanned properly by the counting machines.  Thousands and thousands of ballots are being hand counted.

Mayor race is between a person (Sheila Dixon) who was ousted from the position after being convicted of theft (and other charges being dropped as part of a deal to get her out of power, where she could have stayed had she been obstinate, thanks to old laws) and a young but unusually experienced City council person (Brandon Scott).   Until last night, Dixon was leading...but this morning Baltimore woke up to learn the the kid has slowly overtaken her, and now leads by about 400 votes.

It would be a good day in Baltimore if we could avoid putting Dixon back in power.  Scott is progressive and smart as a whip, knows the City government well....a young person from the 'hood (to be fair, Dixon also has street cred)...I voted Scott and yeah...feeling hopeful this morning.

The other election that mattered is for Comptroller, where the incumbent is a shady cipher and she appears to have lost, which is fantastic news, almost as good as the possibility that Baltmore might not elect a (known) corrupt criminal.

there are still over 100k votes to count in philly (impending disaster in november looming) and biden has surpassed trumps vote total. if you include sanders/gabbert its a blood bath. and again, still have 100k votes in philly, ~60k of which will be bidens.

I read a story the other day about how the rumor mill cranked up about bus loads of ANTIFA rolling into little shtein towns. Of course they never showed up because it was bullshtein. But you still had the rednecks and their armory of gunzzz standing watch in the streets. Idiots.
