perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Natural extension of Republican party's natural inclination toward anti-democratic authoritarianism.

This is what Republicans are all about.

As in, 1,000 "people," approving a comment you made?

I had one tweet that went "semi viral" and got like 700+ likes once, and it was Game of Thrones related.

I've had a few replies to tweets on political twitter get a few hundred likes and it's frankly annoying as farg. I've tried to cut down my replies on twitter now to just posting a gif. But this pandemic has led me to actually engage people more on there because I can't resist the idiots sometimes. It's been a bad choice.

one of the best BLM signs I've ever seen

I think I mentioned to that I gave up commenting on the interwebs...really, I was active only on Reddit....(this shteinhole doesn't count, you all might as well be pen pals)....and it's been a good move...no one cares what I have to say---you all know that--and I no longer get all bent out of shape arguing with these "people."

yeah but it has to be a reply to someone else because I don't make tweets and have no followers so an actual original tweet by me would not be seen by others

Ah, I see.

You don't originate content, but you sometimes reply to it...and your replies may in turn generate replies...

To be honest, I don't really know how to read a Twitter thread.  I can't get the order right..like, when the text at the top is smaller than the text under it, who is replying to whom?  And sometimes, the text on top is bigger than the text under it.  I'm get confused about which text block to read first, etc.

Lucky for me, I'm not on Twitter, and see it only through here, or browsing Reddit....

yeah essentially it would be like being on this board but you never make new topics and instead of just having a reply button there was also a 'like post'  function

twitter is outstanding for information gathering whether its social issues or political/sports content...you follow the right people there is some great content on it mostly in the form of articles that are tweeted versus the actual tweets that i would never see if i wasnt on there following the writers who produce them

I use it to know when webcomics and other internet crap updates, and to make myself angry.

twitter is a cesspool of vile humans who get no real world interaction and journalists trying to get clicks for their zesty writing.
