I have successfully escaped Jacksonville, and I'm moving to Quarryville later this month. Had to ask my sister to take my dog until then, and honestly that's been the worst part of this move.

Seriously, congratulations.  I would love to get back to PA.  Not happening anytime in the near future.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

What's your purge date for clothes? I have two huge closets and a dresser overflowing with clothes. Last night I started to purge. I noticed a large majority of the clothes I held onto for sentimental value. For instance, I have a Phillies COLLEGE t shirt from 2007. It's faded and ugly but I just can't throw it out. I have a ton of hoodies I don't wear but keep for some unknown reason. I have 10 pairs of jeans but maybe wear 3 of them. Last night I threw out a trash can full of old clothes, woke up this morning feeling like I hit the lottery. When I have a chance I'm purging shtein I don't wear. Did some internet research and common answer was 2-3 years.

Lol I got you beat....I still have my two gym shirts from middle school...from 2001.

Though actually my oldest shirt is my 3rd grade 'graduating class' t shirt from 1997. It's in way better shape than those gym shirts because they gave us adult larges as 3rd graders so I never wore it back then and now it's a wear around the house/run to the convenience store type shirt. The middle school gym shirts are adult larges too but as a middle schooler in 2001, a baggy t shirt was perfectly acceptable to wear

I try to purge every year or so but always end up throwing out less than I intended to when I start.

I have a hoodie from 1998. It's super heavy like those lead vests at the dentist. Close to impossible to be cold while wearing it. Though it's beat up enough that these days I only wear it if I want to blend in with the homeless.

I have t shirts/ jerseys/coats from the late 80's early 90's. I have a bunch of button down shirts from when I used to go to the office daily. Now that I'm work from home they rarely get worn. Having a hard time tossing them. Same with sports hoodies. I can't throw the shtein out but once it's gone it feels great. Maybe I'm just a hoarder

General_Failure

I try not to throw clothes or until they're worn out. I've got 20 year old coats that are still good, so why get rid of them?

I donate everything.  I'm the opposite of a clothes horse.  Shorts and t-shirts are required here nine months of the year anyway.

Work is chinos and camp shirts (Tommy Bahama style).   Thank god for a relaxed dress code.  No farging starch for this guy.

That's said I do have a million sports jerseys.  Never getting rid of them.

I usually make a goodwill drop every 1-2 years. The last major purge was two years ago when I moved.

My favorite pair of shorts is a Jordan pair I bought 12-13 years ago.
