Lately I think he's going to be a HOF coach whether he wins a trophy or not. Who else has a legit claim at being the second most important coach of the last 20 years? He's been way more impactful on the rest of the league than Payton. And he's still considered an innovator in 2019 by NFL nerds and by the other coaches.

Eagles could probably get it done with two 1s. The Chiefs picks are effectively second rounders unless Mahomes ends up on IR. Personally I'd love to get Ramsey but there's no doubt the cost is way steep, in both direct trade and cap hit. If he comes and is anything less than All Pro for a few years, it's a disaster. You could argue it's a disaster even if he is All Pro if the rest of the team regresses too far to compete for a SB, and Howie no longer has the draft or financial capital to address the issues.

In 1996, two years after Jeffrey Lurie bought the Eagles, the team swapped out kelly green for midnight green. Twenty-three years have passed but the old color remains a fan favorite. So it was no surprise that much of the reaction to the new green echoed that of Brandon Graham.

"I think that (color) is cool," Graham said, "as long as we bringing the kelly greens back though."

Apparently, there is no connection between the two. Word inside the NovaCare Complex has always been that Lurie is resistant to incorporating kelly green because it represents a time before he owned the team. Some think that stance has softened in recent years, because enough time has passed and his legacy has now been cemented by a Super Bowl title. For now, the league's collective bargaining agreement prevents the Eagles from returning to kelly green jerseys, even for one game. Over the course of the season, each team is only allowed to use one helmet. Perhaps that rule will change in the next round of negotiations between the owners and the NFL Players Association. Perhaps not.

Jersey colors aren't, but helmet colors are. For legal liability reasons, the only time a team can make a player change a helmet is if it's damaged. Players can change helmets whenever they want.

Can't just restyle the one helmet either. There's not enough time to fully repaint all the helmets after a game and before the next practice. They can't put a differently colored wrap over the helmets because it would hide damage. You can do stickers but not a full color change.
