perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Considering that people are persuaded to hate societally beneficial shtein like "free education", I shouldn't be surprised how applicable this still is 15 years later

Could have sworn there was a legal advice thread but can't find it so it's going here.

So my wife went into early labor back in June (her due date was this past week) and had a hell of a time with complications and it was very scary and she almost died and etc. Baby has been doing great for a preemie, at this point it's just been some usual baby shtein to deal with (i.e. not sleeping very well on his back, reflux, gas, etc). So that part has been a relief. The wife got diagnosed with Graves disease early in the pregnancy but the meds had that all under control by the time the labor happened and she was totally healthy otherwise and doing all the prenatal stuff you need to do so we have no idea what actually caused the early labor.

Without getting into more details there, my wife basically went through labor overnight by herself because the on call doctor at the hospital told her to try and make it through the night. That combined with the complications she endured have us leaning towards probably taking some action against the doctor and/or hospital. Between emotional distress, possible future complications with having a kid born prematurely when they could have delayed labor if they had her come in earlier, etc., her brother in law who is a malpractice lawyer for doctors/hospitals told us we definitely have a case and would easily get a settlement if not a judgement if it went that far. He ballparked it at a number high enough for us to not have to worry about paying a mortgage anymore but he was also drunk by that point so lol

Figured I'd ask in here if anyone knew any good lawyers in Philly that do malpractice work and are licensed to practice in DE. I'd say affordability would be nice but I'm pretty sure most of these guys would be working on a "we get a chunk of your judgement if you win" basis anyway. We'll be looking at local options as well but I assume some big shots work out of Philly.

I do not know of anyone in the area - sorry that all happened, man. Congrats on the baby!

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Congrats on the son!  Hope that you can get remedy for the troubles that you've been experiencing.  Rome and I are inundated with John Morgan ads for lawyers down here, but unfortunately I have zero idea about one in your area now.

And watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl with my son will be lasered into my soul for the rest of my life.  When I'm drooling in a wheelchair and can't even remember my own name, I think that memory will be with me.
