And for the record I would love Warren/Harris or Harris/Beto but that isn't happening.

Middle class white voters aren't having it.  Obama was an outlier that won't happen again until whites are a narrow minority.

i know you guys lean pretty far left on here...but imo this is an election where a meh candidate like biden might be what's best just to get trump the hell out of the white house.  he might not be exactly what folks are looking for...but he's not trump.  and he doesn't seem like someone voters will rally against like they did with hillary in 2016.  she was hated with a passion & voters turned out just to vote against her.
anyway, i'll vote for whoever the hell wins the dem nomination.  trump is a goddamn nightmare.

A woman won't beat Trump.  Neither will a male minority.  Biden will wipe the floor with him, though.

hillary clinton was a horrendously bad candidate won the popular vote and lost the electoral by like 70,000 votes in three states

obama would have smashed trumps face in

not any candidate can beat trump...one of the squad might have some trouble....but a woman or a minority can one billion percent beat him....shtein oprah would pound his ass and shes a female minority

liberal ass woman with a vagina tammy baldwin won wisconsin in 2018 by 11 points

trump won by less than a point. baldwin got MORE VOTES than trump did.

but we must nominate an old white man

oh, dems don't have to nominate old man biden.  it's just the most probable path to getting agent orange out of office according to just about every poll in existence.  the dem nomination is normally decided before the pa primary, so i don't expect to have much say in that decision.  but the further left the dem candidate, the better chance cheeto has, imo.  it gives repugs something to rally against...something to hate...and hate is what gets them to show up at the polls.

You'll have to forgive IGY.  He lives in a farging liberal dream world where Lizzy Warren could beat Trump in Alabama.  😂

the people that thrive off that hate are voting for trump anyway

the risk of nominating too far left is not that it will rile them up they already have blood coming out of their eyes its that you scare away the moderates

the tricky balancing act is how do you appease moderates and not disappoint the progressive base of the party

i couldnt be more left but i think you gotta stay semi moderate...not necessarily biden moderate but dont go nuts...i say this because if trump being president for another four years doesnt rally the base to come out then farg it all with progressives....you arent really a progressive if you stay home because the dem candidate isnt left enough for you...shtein if you do that you are barely an american much less a progressive

Yes.

Which makes two critical questions:

Are any of the likely candidates so far left that they'd actually drive moderates to vote for another 4 years of madness?
and
Are any of the Democrats so far left that their nomination would cause moderate to not vote.

My read on these questions:  No and maybe, but not likely.

People want Trump out, are resigned to vote for whoever they have to in order for that to happen.

Progressives didn't vote for Hillary and moderates barely voted for her.  That's why we got Babyhands.

And we'll get him again if Democrats and indies don't pull their snooty heads out of their asses and vote for whatever barely functioning adult gets the Dem nod.

incredible amounts of progressive women voted for hillary....you cant even quantify the yearning progressive women have for the first female president...even a moderate one like hillary

also if no one voted for hillary how did she get more votes than trump?

i think the answer to both questions is the same....bernie could accomplish either

he's an on the record avowed socialist....hes terrible for everyone in the party because he such a socialist that it allows republicans to frame the entire party as socialists

i would include warren not because shes crazy left but because she is a little too easy to be framed by the right as a lunatic....what saves her is her working class message...shes really really good on the stump when it comes to that and i think she could resonate in the "rust belt swing states"

warren is the best but maybe not safe enough to win candidate

kamala is the best cant be "socialized" by the right and isnt old ass biden candidate

biden is the best chance to win but least appealing candidate

They'll be calling any Democrat a socialist, regardless.

I agree however that Bernie should not be the nominee.

Yeah it doesn't matter who the nominee is, they're socialist,

America doesn't have a left compared to the rest of the world. It has Bernie, some moderate Republicans, Republicans who smoke weed, and ultra conservatives. Anyone left of Reagan will have voters clutching their pearls at this point.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I guarantee he will go rogue and run as a third party indy.  And his retarded followers will gladly follow him wherever he takes them.  They're just as idiotic as Trumpers.
