For some reason--extra time on my hands lately??--I've been feeling pretty giddy about this team.  The Atlanta game, ugly.  But a win.  And breakdown of the game only highlighted three players that any team would be delighted to boast even one of:

Fletcher Cox
Jason Peters
Lane Johnson

Holy hell, these three are great great football players.  The Eagles are lucky as farg to have them.

And there's talent throughout the roster, way way more than we became accustomed to under Reid (nevermind Kelly).  Wentz.  Ertz.  Jenkins.  Graham.  Hicks.  Jeffery.  It's ludicrous.

It's no secret that Jenkins and Kelce are my favorite current Eagles, but Nigel Bradham is also a great player.  He plays like he wants to rip someone's head off.  I love that intensity.

Yeah, Bradham and Kelce belong in that list too.  I'll be roasted fire being homer and excited but I think this team is great.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Get...Josh Gordon?

I wouldn't be opposed. At best you get a monster at WR, at worst you release his ass if it doesn't work out. He was only suspended for weed and minor bullshtein.

True, although he was released for repeatedly lying to the team, and showing up to practice yesterday with a surprise injury, late, and high.

I didn't hear about him showing up high, just that he pulled his hamstring doing a model shoot or something. Report is he wants to go to Dallas but they're not interested. If that's the case then big time pass. Jerrah will take anyone with talent and they're desperate for WR help so he must be a mess.

QB Eagles

They can't directly say he was high, it's not like they tested him. But team sources said he was "not himself".

I really enjoyed watching Gordon play and he seemed like a decent guy who just had some trouble running into these bullshtein rules against weed over and over. But I think this is really a bridge too far now. How many chances can you give someone? The Browns invested 6 years in him and stood by him through all kinds of bullshtein, so I doubt they would be letting him go if they thought there was any chance of him being a meaningful contributor. That being said, the Browns aren't known for making wise decisions.

Every team's fanbase wants him, but what they really want is 2013 Josh Gordon, and unfortunately there's very limited evidence that guy is still around.
