its not a farging promotion to be assistant manager at burger king. groh is a qb thats why he got it.

im sure doug knew that duce might bail, as he should, but you cant go like "well hes been here for a while so lets give it to him." this isnt a fair business or a fair world. its hard out there for a brotha.

The Birds are trying to trademark "Philly Special". Lame. On the other hand, a bunch of hungry hungry hippos are trying to trademark it too, which is even worse. Hopefully the government elects to keep the phrase in the public domain.

I'm guessing the Eagles know the comparative coaching abilities of Groh and Duce more than people who have seen them talking on the sidelines for 15 seconds on Mic'd Up. Groh has been coaching since Duce's fourth year as a player.

On the other hand, assistant manager at Burger King might have more actual responsibilities than OC on the Eagles.

Doug obviously knows what he's doing assistant coach wise considering two of his coaches already got promotions with other teams. I'd hate to lose Duce because the RBs all love him but if he bounces he's replaceable.

I don't know what everyone is getting worked up about. After they win the Superbowl again next year, Groh will get a head coaching shot, then Duce gets OC to win it all the following year. Duh.

Schwartz runs the D and calls the plays

OC is irrelevant. It's why Defillipo left, he knew Minnesota would give him more responsibilities than Doug.

One of the local talking heads with ties to the Eagles said Flip was leaving even if Reich was leaving because he wanted to call plays or have more influence over the offense

yea he gets to run the offense in minny vs. being doug's assistant here

reich actually did a lot in terms of game planning, play selection and 2 minute drill but you cant blame flip for wanting to run the show. its a good gig for groh for his first nfl oc crack. im sure he would leave for another spot that let him call plays...then maybe duce will get his shot.

Big mistake.  Duce earned the job.  There's something to be said for loyalty in the ranks especially if both guys were similar.
