Rome

Imagine this defense if they didn't take another bust DE.  And he barely grazed him. Newton flopped like an Italian soccer player.   Yet another reason to hate his guts.

My takes:
1. Waaay to any penalties, even if they did get hosed a little by the refs. Won't take it to the next level without cleaning that up.
2. I really liked Romo the booth (no homo)
3. Cam Newton has the nicest teeth in the league. I mean, even his lowers, not just when he is smiling (which he isn't now). No homo.
4. Anybody willing to say Pederson has some real potential, even if he looks like a doofus? I still don't think he has Andy's ceiling, though.

Don Ho

Yes it was a flop, an academy award winning flop even Renaldo would be proud of and Dio is correct, Barnett was pushed into Newton BUT he's always going to get that call.  Whistles clearly could be heard and no one should have been near Newton.

Diomedes

I still love Jalen Mills.
Doug WTF moment:  stealing a first down from his team with a totally uneccessary timeout.  wonder where he learned that.
Fletcher Cox is Great
Jason Peters is Great
Wentz appears to be the real deal, could be a massive talent...
Blount needs the ball more.  His awkward, stuttering totter works.  Then, he lowers his shoulder for two more.  Feed him.
Lane Johnson is sorely missed.
Ertz cannot be counted on to block.  WTF is Celek on the team for if your going to ask Ertz to block?

I'm not going to go looking for it...but what was the opinion of everyone of Dougie's decision to go for two?

they only got hosed by the refs if the refs missed a bunch of panther penalties....i only remember the PI....but if you are going by the eagle penalties they all were legit that i saw....even the blount unsportsmanlike which looked suspect at first must have been legit cause doug benched him after it...i think he may have followed all the way thru on the block and ground doods head into the ground or some shtein

in fact the biggest missed call was probably ruling against a panther touchdown....they have been much better this year but remember last year the eagles i believe had three games with double digit penalties so this is not unusual for a doug pederson team...difference is they won this game which makes them even more legit

I was in a bar so I couldn't hear everything, but there seemed to be a penalty called against Carolina that gave them the ball at the 1 line, which is why he opted for 2.

If that's the way it went down, then good call.

I missed it because I thought it was just going to be an extra point.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Don Ho

I was in shock when he went for two.  I was on the phone with my boss when all of a sudden I look up and they're going for two.

He took the point off the board. If he misses on getting 2-pts, he's a buffoon for making that call, right?

QB Eagles

Early in the game, if you get the penalty, you should generally go for 2.

Unless your O line is getting completely owned.

i might be giving doug too much credit here for even knowing but i think keekly being out was a factor as well...but it basically comes down to scoring there being a high % play and doug has said over and over going back to mini camps that he was going to be ultra aggressive this year where it was backed by his numbers

in this particular game it could have hurt him pretty bad as on carolinas last two drives they would have only needed a fg to tie if the 2 pt fails where as kicking an extra pt would have forced them to still get a touchdown
