Opened up a quote book in the break room to a random page:

QuoteNon-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.

Could send that to congress til the cows come home but I still don't think the light would go on.

While driving to Austin for my father's inurnment, I was able to come up with a high level plan for my own funeral:

I need to be sitting in the Riv, preferably with shades on so it won't be so creepy. A detail to be decided is if I have a motor installed to replace my shoulder so I can high five people.

The car needs to be parked on a stage, preferably at Red Rocks

The music will be a collection of live bands covering some of my favorite songs, as well as tunes I think appropriate for the occasion. If there are any members of Motley Crue still alive, the coda to the concert needs to be him/them playing Shout at the Devil.

Part of me will need to be cremated so the ashes can be sprinkled on the courtesy bud that will be provided, but they won't know I'm on it until they play the video message from me at the end of Shout at the Devil, letting them know the aforementioned and also that my ashes will be violating their lung sacs hardcore.

The venue and I will also need to figure out how to blow a 15 foot hole in the ground right below the stage and then have another charge cause an explosion to bury the car and I.

I love the plan. Sorry to hear about your dad. He would have been proud of you for coming up with this plan. Too bad you're gonna die of hooker aids. I won't be attending. Someone else can have my share of the HIV+ ashes.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

Whirlwind two week travel just wrapped up. Was in Vegas for a trade show. I actually behaved myself and worked like an adult for the time I should have. I came back to Houston for a couple days and then went with my boss up to Oregon.

Our biggest plywood vendor is based there and they had a customer appreciation thing along with a mill tour. I hadn't ever been to a plywood mill so I was excited for that. I was also looking forward to some cooler PNW weather - until I found out they're in Medford which is in the part of the state that is pretty hot and dry. Upper 90s and low 100s.

There was a huge country music festival there that this trip was centered around. I do not like country so I just sat there and looked at the chicks with their tits and asses hanging out and drank free beer. That was in the evening. During the days we golfed and did jet boat rides - that was fun.

The crowd at the festival...interesting people watching. There were the hotties who thought they were little country chicks and then you had the MAGA and meth head contingent. In our little VIP area some rednecks were talking about Trump and they didn't like it when I said he was a shteinshow. "farging Yankee liberal" is the term they used for me.

That's the whole state this time of year. Portland's last measurable precipitation was June 16. Tomorrow's high is 106. Today the sky was full of smoke from forest fires and looked like Beijing.

this isn't normal though....the heat wave in the northwest for the last week or so has been historic

all time recorded highs every where...Seattle could hit 100 degrees for the first time ever in August
