The air strike was an appropriate/acceptable response. Had it been Barry or Shillary or whoever, the decision itself is fine. The results however, appear to be pretty laughable.

That said, the thing I don't get is why.  I mean the real why. There's 4 years worth of Trump tweets and soundbites that are against attacking Syria. So why did he in a matter of hours pull a total 180? 

It could be that he sat with his advisors and read some Intel briefs and through a collaborative effort came up with a reasonable response.

Or...

President Tiny Hands acted impulsively and wanted to make a big boom.

My money's on the latter.  We got lucky that his need for self gratification happened to align with an acceptable response. It isn't going to be a regular thing.

Problem you have with manchin is if you try to primary him you're guaranteeing a republican takes his spot.  As it stands he still votes with Ds a decent amount so it puts Dems in an awkward spot.

I've said as much to further lefties I talk about...he's useless if you're trying to get your shtein passed, but he'll also vote against Repubs shtein enough times that you don't really want that seat going Republican.

There's a case to be made that a Sanders style Dem could win there....but...idk.
