farging embarrassment.

Let's see how Trump handles this. Obama was all talk on Syria.

I'm good with what Obama did (and especially what he didn't) on Syria.

so is the current president

Quote@realDonaldTrump President Obama, do not attack Syria. There is no upside and tremendous downside. Save your "powder" for another (and more important) day!

Obama made a mistake by saying there was a line that would trigger a response to Assad.  That was a big mistake and shouldn't be overlooked, but take that statement out of the equation and he handled an impossible situation in the way I would like an adult to handle it. He carefully weighed the options and the likely consequences. He took input from experts. He entertained opposing views. In other words he was thoughtful and measured. We won't be seeing that again for a while.

An empty threat is worse than no threat at all

For the first time since taking office Trump looked like a sincere human being during his PC today. When asked about Syria his response was "you'll see". So I guess there's that.

I completely agree about empty threats. He never should have said it and criticism over it is totally justified.

But having said that, we now have a president who doesn't think before he speaks and then bends over backwards to brainlessly follow through on every ill-conceived word salad that falls out of his mouth. Following through on a bad idea just because you said you would is not intelligent or honorable.

there is also a dozen tweets from trump in 2013 when obama wanted to bomb syria (congress wouldnt let him) saying stay out of syria and then the last two days has blamed obama for the chemical attack for not being aggresive with syria

trump legit also thought this was syria going over the line by using chemical weapons when they have used them multiple times during the civil war

in other words like with everything else trump is an ignorant uneducated on the topic lying fraud pos who is completely unqualified to be president

Yeah, he shouldn't have said red line.  Whatever.

The list of shtein Obama shouldn't have said is short (and mostly regarding domestic subjects, not foreign.)
