Same to you and happy thanksgiving to the rest of you fargers

I'm in San Antonio with my friend and his family. We did the brakes on my truck today and then started drinking. I've noticed I have quite a tolerance to Miller lite now. Hard to even catch a damn buzz.

Had a break-in at the vacant rental property (my old home).  Dude left prints and (thankfully, only a little) blood.

Cleaning up finger print dust is a frustrating chore.

Just got back last night from an unplanned trip to my pop's place in NC.  Wildfires in NC and Tenn were sending mad smoke into the mountain valley he lives in and the shtein was just farging lingering there most of the time.  Would have really preferred to just throw him in the truck and take him back to my place for a few weeks but he's old and stubborn and wanted to stay.  Didn't seem like there was any real threat of the fires spreading to where he lives, but he's got asthma and just going to the mini-mart that's like 2 miles from his house got him all choked up, so he didn't really want to go outside at all.  Was pretty much the worst trip I've ever taken.  He lives in what's basically an oversized shed that's like 70 years old.  Had to hang towels over the windows and constantly keep them damp to help absorb smoke if it would get too heavy and start coming in.  Broke my phone on day 3....not that I missed it much because there's no cell service for like 15-20 miles.  Still haven't got a replacement.  Spent the last week or so trying to clean smoke residue off the outside of his house and garage.  Everything smelled like a farging ashtray.  The inside of my vehicle smells worse than when I was a smoker.  Or maybe that's just what it smelled like all the time and I couldn't tell.  I've got like a dozen air fresheners in that thing now.  Smoke is gross.  On the plus side, pops had like 150 lbs of bear and deer meat in the freezer.  Downside is that I have a lab appt tomorrow to get my cholesterol checked.  My doc is not going to like the results at all.

I wouldn't eat bear, sorry.  That strikes me as just wrong.

I assume you eat steak, chicken, and/or pork.  In all seriousness, how is bear any different other than the fact that they're not bred and raised in captivity for slaughter?

Eat it or don't eat it...makes me no nevermind.  Just curious how it comes across as being wrong.

I don't know...something about eating carnivores.  And yeah, I know bears are omnivorous (as are pigs, which are delicious) but it's a threshold I can't imagine crossing.  Just seems like you shouldn't eat bear.  Or wolf, or lion.

Alligator though...they're lizards. Serve 'em up.

I don't claim to be consistent in my tastes.

Lol....fair enough.  I'd probably try Lion meat given the opportunity.  Why not?  I'd probably try just about any kind of meat as long as it's not from an endangered species.  Wolf would be an exception though....too closely related to dogs, which in our culture are for pets and companions, not dinner.

Bear is really damn delicious, btw.
