Not sure how you block insurance companies from declining customers based on pre existing conditions without the rest of the ACA.

Ok so they can't block you but you pay $3k a month for insurance?

PhillyPhreak54

If he about faces on things how long does it take for impeachment?

General_Failure

His thing has always been to make outrageous claims and make people talk him down from there, forcing them to give up on something else to make it happen.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Pop hit it perfectly.

It's been weird. My disgust with Trump winning is the Empire and the goons taking over government and the path for the next 4 years. Science, women, the environment, and other things stand to loose big with this guy in office.

But the weirdest part is that being a legal U.S. born citizen from parents who immigrated to this country legally, and went through the process to get their residencies and citizenship...with all of that...I still feel nervous for what may happen to me...being a legal US born citizen...I feel a little uncomfortable for what may happen. I'm hoping Trump is so far into himself that he doesn't give as many fargs about the GOP agenda that he doesn't destroy too many things in the next 4 years as I think he will.

But for the first time, fear for my well-being has reared its ugly head into my life. It may be a little extreme, but I can't shake that feeling.

This is a great opportunity for those that oppose his values to actively participate in the movement...but still nervous none the less.

Being in a Florida middle school with a 40% Hispanic population and 30% or so redneck, you can imagine the tension.

PhillyPhreak54

I understand man.

Even thought you're born and bred and a citizen you'll unfortunately probably encounter someone who will mouth off because they've been emboldened by Trump.

I wish I had a way to describe this week but I've not yet been able to accurately describe it. An alternate dimension? A malaise?

I couldn't imagine the grief and shtein non white people are going to hear. I mean I've heard a lot of awful shtein from other whites simply because they think bc I'm white I subscribe to their disgusting thoughts and racism.

It's one thing to lose important issues like what you mentioned. It's another thing to lose them and also have a joke of a president who endorses such vile people and expressions. Because he doesn't come out against those who do say such things he's complicit in what's happening.

I hope he burns his supporters. I'm rooting for a chaotic term.

General_Failure

Come on man, think about the real victims. White people who felt neglected by the media.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Nice to to see the dems (or at least Hillary's team) still dividing their time equally between sticking their head in the sand and up their ass. Clinton has an entire opinion research division, which still thinks she lost just because of Comey's letters. Hopefully the mainstream left isn't still in such abject denial.

She lost because America has an antiquated election process.  She lost because the entire middle of this country agrees with and wholly supports the idea of a woman-hating racist buffoon being elected over a "liberal" woman.

But mostly she lost because dumbasses refused to vote for her because she's supposedly no better than Trump.  I'm actually happy in a small way that he won because it will become apparent even to the most pigheaded infantile liberal just how wrong you were about that.

As much as I can't stand Trump, and most of the GOP. He won the election fair and square. I was watching Smerconish on CNN this morning, one of his guests put it best, the Cubs didn't win the World Series because they scored the most runs, they won it because they won the most games. I hate the Electoral College but that's the way our elections work. Trump was wise to concentrate his efforts on the rust belt.

Whatever the case may be, I'm encouraged to see he's scaled back on a lot of his rhetoric. He took the anti Muslim stuff off his website. He said he'd review parts of Obamacare out of respect for the President. As much as I don't like the guy - and I say the same thing about coaching hires and draft picks - I'm willing to give him a chance. First off what choice do we have. Second maybe he can bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. A lot of the rust belt are uneducated blue collar workers who rely on those types of jobs. They look at the past 8 years and continue to see their jobs shipped overseas. Maybe with his corporate tax cuts he can bring some of those jobs back.

Look, before every one jumps down my throat, I'm playing Devil's advocate here and glass half full. I felt dirty after I voted for Hillary but I'm in a swing state and the Philly burbs are as important of a vote as there is in any Presidential election. With that being said I refuse to be a Hannity/Limbaugh/Colter type who predicts doom and gloom the minute their guy isn't in office. So I'll give Trump a chance.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
