People who have looked at this at length seem to have concluded going for 2 always make sense from the 1 unless it's late game and score dependent.

I'd think having a mobile-ish QB like Wentz would help that as well, but that's just speculative.

I like that his default is aggression in those decisions.  Rather die by that method than someone who punts on opposing team's 40 on 4th and 1.  That being said, thought 4th and 2 versus Vikings D at the end of the first half was pretty dumb even though it worked out.

I like the aggression too. Hopefully he stays with that. His playcalling in DET was conservative so hopefully he realized that he swayed that way and will continue to stay on the aggressive side of things.

I'm a fan of not taking points off the board.

so basically you would never ever go for two unless it was late and you needed it to win or tie because not going for an extra pt is always taking pts off the board since its a gimme...seems conservative coming from someone who just agreed with me that going for it on 4th and 1 just about anywhere anytime is the right call

I didn't agree that going for it on 4th & 1 all the time is the right call, I just agreed that there are few times in the game that I wouldn't go for it. I have no problem with punting on 4th and 1 most of the time. It's definitely exciting when they go for it though.  I like a nice balance of logic and agression.

Unless you've been getting killed in short yardage situations in the game, going for 2 from the 1 is a no-brainer. It's like 60%+ odds which means it would be worth it even if kickers never missed XPs.
