Not even about math. The EU is not going to want to make it easy for anyone to leave, so Britain leaving will basically make the EU flip them the bird. AKA they will not negotiate friendly trade deals with them, and will overall just punish them economically to send a message to anyone else who thinks about leaving.

The most immediate thing is the value of the British Pound is dropping before the voting's even done. Shares of HSBC, their big bank, are dropping in foreign markets.

GF touched on it, but it's really about the banks and the rest of the EU. Duetche Bank is already toast and more are going to follow. I fear this is the start of something big.

Not sure about Scotland as that was a pretty definitive vote. Look for Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal to all test the leaving waters though. I still think this is going to expose (not cause) a banking crisis in Europe.

i'm not going to blame this on trump, but i;m up at 3am angry because the news is making this all about economy when this is more about anti-immigrant than anything else.

i don't have a ton of British friends but i have a dozen or so and they were joking about this yesterday like i joke with my friends about trump.

Johnson like trump is a complete fraud also in that he only cares about boris Johnson...he could give a rats ass about globalization issues which is what drives a lot of the brexit voters...hes a political attention and power whore who wants to be prime minister period...brexit was just his way of getting there

look back a page or so at the trump quote i posted regarding brexit...he literally admits he has no idea what it is...now hes in Scotland this morning giving a news conference on it

Londoners voted 60/40 to stay in the EU.  The hayseeds outside the major cities are the ones who drove the Brexit campaign just like MA drives the bible thumping racist right fringe vote in this country.  It's amusing watching a country actually sow the seeds of their own destruction, though. 

I imagine in about four months or so we're going to be watching something similar happen here with Trump.  And we'll deserve our fate just like the Britons deserve theirs.

I saw a breakdown last night of votes by age and it was shocking. The 65+ age group was all IN

And the Trump PC was so infuriating. He says the people voted for their country back. But Scotland was overwhelmingly remain!

This is why I get so angry at the thought of Trump as our president. The stupid ignorant racist portion of American voters would ruin our country.

And if you're a politician running a fear mongering campaign you should be disqualified.
