Pfft.  That's tame bro.  Pokemon has cards for that.

So. Did your kid get that BJ, or what?

Ha. Probably not. That would be a different call. When they called I thought the guy said they were opening up an HIV investigation against my son. It was really confused for the first minute of the call. Then I heard HIB and took a breath. Of course, we had to talk about it. Nothing a 12 year old loves more than talking about blow jobs with his parents. So stupid.

PhillyPhreak54

Sir we have an HIV investigation going on with your son

Say what?!

lol - I remember when I heard blow job for the first time and asked my mom what it meant. It a crowded restaurant line.

Game changer at my grocery store...curbside pick up.

The local chain all over Houston has one right down the street from me but the meat and produce selections are rather poor. The big new shiny store a little further away is always packed. You can go at 10pm on a Saturday and its crawling with people.

But that new location has rolled out curbside pick up. You shop online, even produce and meats, and they'll pull your order and you go pick it up.

So I don't have to wade through the masses? Don't have to stand in line? For a $5 fee?

Sold.

Okay, so to close out a weird series of events for the kid. On the heals of BJ-gate, my kid went to a concert last night to see John Hiatt, who's a song-writing legend.

Anyway, the kid was excited because John had seen some of his videos and wanted to meet after the show. The concert was GREAT. John Hiatt left the stage and came back. Instead of doing the encore, he started talking about someone special in the audience. Then he said called out my kid's name to our COMPLETE surprise.

He asked Jake to come to the stage, handed him a rare 1947 Gibson guitar and told him to play his most popular song, Have a Little Faith in Me in front of Hiatt and the sold out theater. The kid went up and did it, but I don't know how he managed to walk up there what with the enormous balls that must get in the way.

Hiatt is a great guy, and we spent a lot of time talking after the show. Here's a clip of it.

I had to tell that here because it was surreal and because I could make the balls crack without Facebook opening an investigation on me.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Watched it on FB yesterday - pretty damned cool. Did you ask Hiatt if the tiki bar was open?
