FBI admits flaws in hair analysis over decades

The Justice Department and FBI have formally acknowledged that nearly every examiner in an elite FBI forensic unit gave flawed testimony in almost all trials in which they offered evidence against criminal defendants over more than a two-decade period before 2000.

Of 28 examiners with the FBI Laboratory's microscopic hair comparison unit, 26 overstated forensic matches in ways that favored prosecutors in more than 95 percent of the 268 trials reviewed so far, according to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the Innocence Project, which are assisting the government with the country's largest post-conviction review of questioned forensic evidence.

The cases include those of 32 defendants sentenced to death. Of those, 14 have been executed or died in prison, the groups said under an agreement with the government to release results after the review of the first 200 convictions.

philadelphia is split up into wards and divisions that dont make any sense...for example i live on 5th and reed and dont vote at the polling station at 7th and reed (instead i do it at a black church 2 blocks down)

anyway in my ward division had a grand total of 12 republicans that voted: 8 drumpf, 3 kasich, 1 ted "ring" cruz....95 bernie, 76 hillary....more people voted for fetterman than sestak, who barely beat some random greek dude that was also running, but mcginty did roll....only 9/12 of the pubs voted for toomey and there were 0 write ins.....clearly nobody likes jews here because zappala beat shapiro 73-70 for AG....only 8/12 pubs voted for AG.....the vote to abolish traffic court passed, but was 81-29 here. ballparking that only 70% of the voters actually answered these questions.

also having all these different wards and divisions, no matter how nonsensical theyre constructed, allows for many polling places all of which are very close to peoples homes. this makes voting easy and convenient and eliminates long lines. i went at 600 and waited for 3 minutes, only because the lady behind the table was trying to help some guy with his registration. my recommendation for everyone is to live in a good liberal city and vote democratic thank you.
