Minnesota went over two calendar years like five years ago... if there's an example of a three year stretch it has to be in a loser NBA city like that.

what about since a playoff win?

Game win or series win? No idea.

No team has advanced since 2012, right? That kinda seems like a more emotionally brutal streak than the 2014-present playoff absence.

I think there's other examples though. Once Jordan retired in '98, none of the five Chicago teams advanced beyond the first round in the playoffs for over five years. And then they got the Steve Bartman series. That's the price you pay for getting to enjoy all those years of MJ I guess. Even crazier with that being a 5/4 city. Tack on a couple extra years if you're a Sox fan (they then won the World Series though).

I'm thinking this is probably the worst Philly streak because typically the city always got bailed out by the Flyers.

philly has won 1 title in 33 years

what hextall has done is nothing short of amazing....the team is super competitive only two pts out of the playoffs while also having 5 picks in the first three rounds of the draft on top of a vg system

hes rebuilt the organization worked magic shedding cap money without being horrible for 3-5 years

and on top of all this he went off the board and hired the first nhl head coach with no league experience in like 30 years and the guy is seemingly an excellent head man

I really don't know, that's just the one that came to mind.

I don't think anyone really tracks across all four sports because only self-hating Philly fans care about this shtein.

It's almost unbelievable what he's been able to do. This kind of hope can only end in tragedy but he has turned this team's situation around a full year or more faster than I thought was possible.
